PRIMERA LIGA DE AJEDREZ CHESS BROTHERS: Resultados finales de la primera temporada 💪♟

El telón se cierra y los héroes del tablero festejan una de las experiencias más icónicas que la plataforma de HIVE ha tenido en cuanto a materia ajedrecística se refiere.
Este domingo 3 de octubre se celebró la 4ta válida de la 1ra Liga de Ajedrez Chess Brothers, un evento que pone punto final a lo que fue este primer acercamiento con la comunidad de ajedrecistas y usuarios de HIVE. Este experimento piloto nos permitió aprender mucho sobre este tipo de iniciativas como también compartir con personalidades bastante experimentadas en la técnica del ajedrez, quienes día a día fueron cooperando con nuestro equipo de trabajo para así dirigir una fiesta amparada por los amantes del deporte ciencia.
No hay duda que la celebración de este tipo de actividades permiten formar fuertes lazos con los ajedrecistas de todos los niveles que forman parte del ecosistema blockchain y, más importante aún, sirve como semillero para captar la atención de nuevos usuarios. Por tanto, la 1ra Liga de Ajedrez Chess Brothers fue una forma activa de contribuir al crecimiento de esta increíble plataforma que se ha convertido en nuestra morada digital.
Así es, aunque en esencia el torneo está abierto a todo público, los premios y reconocimientos otorgados mediante el token de la plataforma contribuyeron a atraer el interés varios que ingresaron a HIVE como nuevos usuarios, incluyendo tres de los mismísimos ganadores. De allí que reiteremos el valioso efecto bola de nieve que la realización de estos eventos conlleya.
Hablando de los resultados de la 4ta justa
La LACB se ha caracterizado por la inclusión de nuevos ajedrecistas. A medida que se realizaban nuevos torneos, jugadores de distintas partes del mundo cada vez se fueron sumando y la 4ta válida no fue la excepción, dado que una muy alentadora cifra de 34 jugadores se dieron cita en el cierre de la LACB.
En esta oportunidad, el usuario de Lichess Spago, oriundo de Suiza, se llevó los máximos honores al conseguir 6 puntos positivos y una derrota, un marcador que lo hace compartir el liderato con blackswan21 (@tungphong) de Vietnam, quien alcanzó las 6 unidades también.
En el 3er lugar se ubicó @eniolw (@eniolw) de Venezuela con 5 puntos, seguido de @MindYourPlays de Brasil, ocupando el cuarto lugar con 5 victorias.
En la 5ta posición, @tony1294 de Venezuela, quien igualmente acumuló 5 aciertos, es decir, hubo un triple empate en el 3er lugar, pero los puestos fueron definidos por el sistema de desempate estipulado por Lichess. Sin lugar a dudas, la 4ta válida estuvo súper reñida con giros de trama inesperados.

Con el post anterior se reunieron 14,413 HBD líquidos, los cuales fueron distribuidos en partes iguales a los cinco mejores jugadores que participaron del 4to torneo y poseían cuenta en HIVE.

Se puede apreciar que un total de 62 jugadores participaron en la liga. ¡Qué gran receptividad!
Ahora bien, si bien es cierto que no todos estos jugadores poseen cuenta de Hive, ello no ha sido impedimento para jugar; no se considera una medida de exclusión. ¡Todo el que desee jugar es bienvenido! Sin embargo, debido la naturaleza financiera de esta red, los premios se otorgan en los tokens nativos, naturalmente, y tener una cuenta en esta blockchain sí ha sido un requisito considerado en las condiciones técnicas de la temporada para figurar en la premiación.

En cuanto a la piscina de recompensas para la premiación, mediante los 4 posts de reportaje y convocatoria se recaudaron en total 24,08 HBD y 12.093 Hive líquidos, los cuales fueron entregados semanalmente a los ganadores de cada válida.
Adicionalmente, como dejamos dicho desde el primer reportaje, hemos decidido aportar un adicional para premiar a los ganadores absolutos de la Primera Liga de Ajedrez Chess Brothers, consistentes en 32,612 Hive y 13,738 HBD, los cuales fueron repartidos en partes iguales. Esperemos que la subida del Hive caiga como anillo al dedo a los vencedores y nos llene de optimismo.
Un acercamiento a los ganadores de la 1era Liga de Ajedrez Chess Brothers
Este evento fue posible gracias a la participación masiva de ajedrecistas que desde el primer segundo mostraron un apetito competitivo de alta intensidad. Por tanto, es de reconocer la labor titánica que los contendientes vinieron realizando durante esta últimas cuatro semanas.
En este evento pudimos contar la participación de profesionales no solo del ajedrez sino también de distintas áreas laborales. Hemos dedicado esta sección para hablar un poco de los ganadores de la LACB.
Quinto lugar
Rosmarly Chghale (@rosmarly) nueva usuaria en la blockchain y jugadora de muchísima experiencia
En la 5ta posición tenemos a la talentosa jugadora de Venezuela Rosmaro Chghale (@rosmarly), quien impuso toda su experiencia en el tablero al conseguir un asiento en la cúspide del olimpo, y es que la joven de 25 años, quien ha sido selección nacional, campeona nacional femenina en las categorías menores en reiteradas ocasiones y representante oficial del equipo de Universidad de Oriente, mantuvo un performance óptimo logrando superar a sus rivales en la escena del tablero.
Resulta muy interesante ver que el ajedrez femenino está cada vez más presentes en los torneos de alto rendimiento y sin duda la jugadora oriunda del estado Anzoátegui (Venezuela) es un claro ejemplo de superación y perseverancia. Actualmente, Rosmarly se encuentra entre las jugadoras más fuertes de su país. Estudia ingeniería mecánica en la universidad antes mencionada y su jugada favorita es 1. d4.
Cuarto lugar
Luciano Sánchez (@lucianosky) nuevo usuario en la blockchain. Con tan solo 15 años, @lucianosky pudo abrirse paso y ubicarse entre los mejores jugadores de la liga.
El joven Luciano Sánchez (@lucianosky) se hizo con la 4ta plaza de la liga. Un jugador que a pesar de su juventud es bastante aguerrido y ha podido encarar a los especialistas del tablero, logrando puntuaciones más que admirables, incluyendo entre sus hitos el ser uno de los pocos jugadores que pudo vencer al mismísimo campeón de la liga. Sánchez ha iniciado su carrera ajedrecística desde muy pequeño y esto le ha permitido acumular una experiencia increíble que va desde la participación en campeonatos estadales, nacionales e internacionales, ubicándose en la actualidad entre los mejores juveniles de su Venezuela, con una proyección a futuro bastante prometedora.
🥉 Tercer lugar 🥉
Oluwadare Samuel (@Samostically), un trotamundo del ajedrez en la blockchain
Oluwadare Samuel (@Samostically) de Nigeria se hizo con el 3er puesto de la LACB. Es un jugador bastante asiduo de #HiveChess, quien ha logrado imponer su maestría enfrentando a los mejores jugadores de la blockchain y obteniendo resultados más que excelentes. Oluwadare es un chico de 21 años quien recién se ha graduado de bioquímica con honores. Estuvo comentado al equipo de @chessbrotherpro que aprendió a jugar ajedrez desde los 11 años en la escuela secundaria, que ha podido participar en varios eventos organizados en su país y que fue precisamente este año cuando logró participar en un evento internacional de la FIDE en el que consiguió un Elo de ajedrez rápido de 1992 puntos. Es un jugador muy fuerte en blitz sin duda alguna. Samuel da clases a niños de ajedrez en su tiempo libre y procura siempre servir como inspiración a la generación de relevo.
🥈 Segundo lugar 🥈
Antonio Hadad (@tony1294), usuario nuevo de la blockchain con mucho currículo ajedrecístico
En el 2do lugar se encuentra Antonio Hadad (@tony1294), un fuerte jugador de Venezuela quien también ha representado al país en competiciones internacionales escolares, juveniles, panamericanas, entre otros torneos, sumando así una trayectoria de más de 10 años en la selección nacional. Hadad ha sido condecorado en múltiples ocaciones como jugador destacado en su municipio (Ezequiel Zamora en el estado Monagas, Venezuela). Además de ser jugador, @tony1294 tiene experiencia en el arbitraje de eventos de ajedrez, destacando así como árbitro del Centroamericano y del Caribe celebrado en Caracas en 2016. Actualmente representa al estado Anzóategui y se encuentra en la etapa final de su carrera universitaria en la especialidad de Medicina.
Es de mencionar que tanto @rosmarly como @tony1294 pertenencen al equipo de la Universidad de Oriente (UDO) y están ubicados como los mejores jugadores de la liga universitaria de Venezuela.

🥇 PRIMER LUGAR 🥇
En la posición número 1, con una actuación impecable de 2518 puntos consistentes con los tres oros y una plata que conquistó, se encuentra Tung TPh Ngo (@tungphong). ¡Un logro más que merecido! ¡Felicidades!
Tung TPh Ngo (@tungphong), Campeón indisputable de la primera temporada de la LACB
El vietnamita de 35 años, además de ser ajedrecista, también se dedica a los trabajos en línea como freelancer y trader. Durante una breve conversación online, Tung TPh Ngo intercambió algunas palabras con el equipo de Chess Brothers (CB) que bien compartimos a continuación:
-CB: Cuéntanos un poco sobre ti y tu ajedrez.
-Tung TPh Ngo: Aprendí a jugar al ajedrez con mi padre cuando era un niño y luego me uní al equipo de ajedrez local y participé en torneos nacionales de ajedrez durante muchos años. A veces enseño ajedrez a los niños en el tiempo libre, pero ahora sólo juego por diversión. Me gusta viajar por el mundo y me encanta participar en torneos abiertos. Es interesante viajar por placer.
-CB: ¿Tienes ELO?
-Tung TPh Ngo: Oh, no. Aún no tengo rating internacional, aunque a menudo juego con Grandes Maestros, ja ja ja. En mi país no se organizan torneos oficiales de clasificación. ¡Qué pena!
-CB: No te preocupes, ¡ya nos hemos dado cuenta que tienes una gran fuerza de juego!
@Tungphong se hizo paso hacia la cúspide con comodidad a pesar de haber enfrentado una fortísima oposición en todos los torneos, con numerosos jugadores por encima de los 2000 puntos de rating. De hecho, de las 28 partidas que jugó, solo perdió 2, y a falta de una válida para completar la temporada, ya era el campeón virtual de la misma tras lograr una cantidad de puntos inalcanzables para la competencia, por lo cual tuvo el aval más que suficiente para levantar la antorcha del evento.

Algunas palabras finales
Muchísimas gracias a todos los jugadores que participaron en la LACB. Hemos tomado nota de todas sus sugerencias y recomendaciones. Estamos abiertos a más observaciones que puedan dejarnos en los comentarios; gustosamente les daremos un vistazo. Al ser este un primer evento, reconocemos todos los ajustes que pueden ser realizados en futuras ediciones. En un siguiente post estaremos dando más detalles al respecto, pero ya podemos adelantar que debido a la gran participación, hemos decidido aumentar el número de torneos/válidas a 8. FIRST CHESS BROTHERS LEAGUE: Final Results of the First Season 💪♟

The curtain closes and the heroes of the board celebrate one of the most iconic experiences that the HIVE platform has had in terms of chess.
This Sunday, October 3, the 4th round of the 1st Chess Brothers League was held, an event that puts an end to what was this first approach with the community of chess players and users of HIVE. This pilot experiment allowed us to learn a lot about this type of initiatives as well as to share with experienced personalities in the chess technique, who day by day were cooperating with our team to lead a party for the lovers of the science sport.
There is no doubt that the celebration of this type of activities allows to form strong ties with chess players of all levels that are part of the blockchain ecosystem and, more importantly, serves as an incubator to capture the attention of new users. Therefore, the 1st Chess Brothers League was an active way to contribute to the growth of this incredible platform that has become our digital home.
That's right, although the tournament is essentially open to the general public, the prizes and awards granted through the platform's token contributed to attract the interest of several players who entered HIVE as new users, including three of the winners themselves. That's why we reiterate the valuable snowball effect that the implementation of these events carries.
On the Results of the 4th Round
The Chess Brothers League has been characterized by the inclusion of new chess players. As new tournaments were held, chess players from different parts of the world were joining and the 4th round was no exception, as a very encouraging 34 players showed up at the closing of the Chess Brothers League.
In this opportunity, the Lichess user Spago, native of Switzerland, took the top honors by getting 6 positive points and one loss, a score that makes him share the lead with blackswan21 (@tungphong) from Vietnam, who also reached 6 units.
In 3rd place was @eniolw (@eniolw) from Venezuela with 5 points, followed by @MindYourPlays from Brazil, taking 4th place with 5 wins.
In the 5th position, @tony1294 from Venezuela, who likewise accumulated 5 successes, that is, there was a triple tie for 3rd place, but the positions were defined by the tiebreaker system stipulated by Lichess. Undoubtedly, the 4th round was super close with unexpected plot twists.

We can see that a total of 62 players participated in the league - what a great receptivity!
Now, while it is true that not all of these players have a Hive account, this is not an impediment to play, it is not considered an exclusionary measure; anyone who wishes to play is welcome! However, due to the financial nature of this network, prizes are awarded in native tokens, naturally, and having an account in this blockchain did have been a requirement considered in the rules of the season to be featured in the awarding.

As for the reward pool for the awards, a liquid total of 24.08 HBDs and 12.093 Hives were collected from the four coverage and invitation posts, which were distributed weekly to the winners of each round.
Additionally, as we said since the first tournament report, we have decided to provide a bonus to reward the absolute winners of the First Chess Brothers League, consisting of 32.612 Hives and 13.738 HBDs, which were distributed in equal parts. Let's hope that the rise of the Hive fits the winners like a glove and fills us with optimism.
A Closer Look at the Winners of the 1st Chess Brothers League
This event was possible thanks to the massive participation of chess players who from the first second showed a high intensity competitive appetite. So, it is important to recognize the titanic work that the contestants have been doing during the last four weeks.
In this event we could count on the participation of professionals not only of chess but also of different working areas. We have dedicated this section to talk a little about the winners of the league.
Fifth Place
Rosmarly Chghale (@rosmarly) new user on the blockchain and a very experienced player.
In the 5th position we have the talented player from Venezuela Rosmarly Chghale (@rosmarly), who imposed all her experience on the board to get a seat at the top of the Olympus. The 25-year-old, who has been a member of the national team, women's national champion in the junior categories on repeated occasions and official representative of the Universidad de Oriente team, maintained an optimal performance managing to outperform her rivals on the chessboard scene.
It is very interesting to see that women chess is increasingly present in high performance tournaments and undoubtedly the player from Anzoátegui state (Venezuela) is a clear example of overcoming and perseverance. Currently, Rosmarly is among the strongest players in her country. She studies mechanical engineering at the university mentioned above and her favorite move is 1. d4.
Fourth Place
Luciano Sánchez (@lucianosky) new user in the blockchain. With only 15 years old, @lucianosky was able to break through and place himself among the best players in the league.
The teenager Luciano Sánchez (@lucianosky) took 4th place in the league. A player who despite his youth is quite tough and has been able to face the specialists of the board, achieving more than admirable scores, including among his milestones being one of the few players who could beat the league champion himself. Sánchez has started his chess career since he was a child and this has allowed him to accumulate an incredible experience ranging from participation in state, national and international championships, currently ranking among the best young players in Venezuela, with a very promising future projection.

Oluwadare Samuel (@Samostically), a chess dreamer on the blockchain
Oluwadare Samuel (@Samostically) from Nigeria took 3rd place in the Chess Brothers League. He is quite a regular #HiveChess player, who has managed to impose his mastery facing the best players in the blockchain and getting more than excellent results. Oluwadare is a 21 year old who has just graduated from biochemistry with honors. He was commenting to the @chessbrotherpro team that he learned to play chess since he was 11 years old in high school, that he has been able to participate in several events organized in his country and that it was just this year when he managed to participate in an international FIDE event in which he achieved a rapid chess Elo of 1992 points. He is a very strong blitz player without any doubt. Samuel teaches chess to children in his spare time and always tries to serve as an inspiration to the next generation.

Antonio Hadad (@tony1294), a new user of the blockchain with a long chess resume
In 2nd place is Antonio Hadad (@tony1294), a strong player from Venezuela who has also represented the country in international school, youth and Pan American competitions, among other tournaments, adding up to a career of more than 10 years in the national team. Hadad has been decorated on multiple occasions as an outstanding player in his municipality (Ezequiel Zamora in the state of Monagas, Venezuela). In addition to being a player, @tony1294 has experience in refereeing chess events, standing out as a chess arbiter of the Central American and Caribbean held in Caracas in 2016. He currently represents the state of Anzóategui and is in the final stage of his university career in the specialty of Medicine.
It is worth mentioning that @rosmarly and @tony1294 belong to the Universidad de Oriente (UDO) team and are ranked as the best players in the university league of Venezuela.

In the number 1 position, with an impeccable performance of 2518 points consistent with the three golds and one silver he conquered, is Tung TPh Ngo (@tungphong). A more than well-deserved achievement! Congratulations!
Tung TPh Ngo (@tungphong), undisputed champion of the first season of the 1st Chess Brothers League.
The 35-year-old Vietnamese, in addition to being a chess player, also engages in online work as a freelancer and trader. During a brief online conversation, Tung TPh Ngo exchanged a few words with the Chess Brothers team (CB) which we well share below:
-CB: Tell us a little about yourself and your chess.
-Tung TPh Ngo: I learned to play chess with my father when I was a child and then joined the local chess team and participated in national chess tournaments for many years. I sometimes teach chess to children in my spare time, but now I just play for fun. I like to travel around the world and love to participate in open tournaments. It is interesting to travel for pleasure.
-CB: Do you have ELO?
-Tung TPh Ngo: Oh, no. I don't have international rating yet, although I often play with Grandmasters, ha ha ha. No official rating tournaments are organized in my country, what a pity!
-CB: Don't worry, we've already noticed that you have great playing strength!
@Tungphong comfortably made his way to the top despite facing extremely strong opposition in every tournament, with numerous players above 2000 rating points. In fact, of the 28 games he played, he only lost 2, and with one game left to complete the season, he was already the virtual champion of the season after achieving an unreachable amount of points for his competitors, so he had more than enough credit to raise the torch of the event.

Some Final Words
Many thanks to all the players who participated in the 1st Chess Brothers League. We have taken note of all your suggestions and recommendations. We are open to any further observations you may leave in the comments; we will gladly take a look at them. As this is a first event we recognize all the adjustments that can be made in future editions. This is a lifelong learning and we draw lessons from our own experiences and from the other blockchain chess promoters.
And speaking of which, we want to make special thanks to the moderators of The Chess Community and founders of competitive chess on Hive: @stayoutoftherz, @schamangerbert and @jaki01. We acknowledge their outstanding work and support for this initiative. We also appreciate the many members of #HiveChess whose list would be too long to detail (ha ha), who often join us and have adopted this tournament as part of their weekend chess marathon.
Of course, we also want to thank the community @FullDeportes and its management for the significant support they provide to the practice and dissemination of chess through their careful work of curating content in Spanish, such as those offered by the members of our modest community.
On the other hand, the 2nd season of the league is scheduled to start on Sunday, October 17th. In a next post we will be giving more details about it, but we can already advance that due to the great participation, we have decided to increase the number of tournaments/rounds to 8. Let's keep an eye on the upcoming rules of the 2nd edition of the Chess Brothers League.
