Today's #beersaturday post is a bit shorter than usual.
Since it was still sunny and warm on Friday, my wife and I decided to play tourists for the weekend and went back to our favorite place by sea, the Spirit Camp on the island of Pag, Croatia, where we have a caravan.
There was a lot of beer but nothing special that I can describe, well, except for Kozel, a Czech lager.
Brewed by Pivovar Velké Popovice, Velke Popovice, Czech Republic.
Can, 0.55l, alcohol 4.6% ABV. I bought it in my local Hofer store because they advertised that you get 10% more beer - it was a 0.55 l can, normally we get 0.5 l.

Of course, the price was very reasonable, I think 0.85€, and I, as a diligent consumer who falls for these tricks, took advantage of it and bought two cans of Kozel to take to the seaside.

After half an hour waiting at the border, two hours driving, one hour waiting for the ferry (I drank two Velebitsko beers in the meantime ...), we arrived at the campsite and I immediately put it on the table. Cold, of course (I have a 12Volt fridge plug in my car so it was chilled on the way).
Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of the beer in the glass because I drank it out of a can :)
It was cold and good, a standard lager, maybe a bit more bitter than other lagers, you can taste the malt in the background and that was it.
Nothing special I'll say. I was expecting more, though, because this Kozel is quite a popular beer here.
