For this week's #beersaturday entry, I swung by the local food co-op to see if they had any new Toppling in stock. With some luck, a new one was in inventory. Hattie and I threw it in the cart, grabbed some chocolate milk, and then booked out of there. Fast and furious...dad and daughter style!
I like their Pompeii IPA quite a bit, so I thought this one would be a solid beer. i thought the hop profile would be more of what gives this one pineapple and mango flavor, but I was wrong. This beer almost tastes like they put pineapple and mango juice directly into the beer.
I have to say, as many of you know, I'm a big Toppling fan...but definitely not into this beer. I gave it a 3.50 / 5.00 on Untappd. This one almost tastes like a Radler. I actually got quite a bit of heartburn from this one. So what do you do when you get some heartburn from a super sweet beer? Eat pizza, of course!
Wanting to get a base ahead of the Bucks game tonight, we ordered a deluxe pizza from our local pizza restaurant. This was a big one; sausage, pepperoni, red onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. It was a solid 20 inch pie, yum!
Now it's time to root on the Milwaukee Buks. If they can somehow pull off a win tonight, Milwaukee will be jacked up for game six. I'm hoping they get it done tonight, and I'd love to see them have a chance to win it all in Milwaukee. So yeah, go Bucks!
