Mexican Murals - More Insect People in Cuauthémoc [CCC's Street Art Contest #19]

I know, I know, I haven't been very active on Hive lately, and thus I missed out on the last three Street Art Contests. Even more reason to pick it up where I left off, quite literally, and present the other side of the entrance of Metro Station Cuauthémoc, in Mexico City, right next to the Mercado Juárez. That's right: it's the same location as my last entry about the Insect People. For those who are wondering, the contest is CCC's Street Art Contest #19, and anyone is encouraged to participate who has cool photos of amazing street art.

Same Place, Different Mural

It's a bit strange re-visiting the same places for different murals. Especially in this case, where not only the artist and the location are the same, but also the theme of the wall painting: insect people everywhere...!

Market Themed Insects

Since this is the entrance to the Mercado Juarez, it's only appropriate that the image should feature produce: a corn cob, cherries, a red onion, a squash flower, along with other flowers, as well as various random items that you may find on the ground at a market.

Amidst all these things you can find the protagonists of this mural, a human faced grasshopper, and on the adjacent wall a human headed ant. The proportionally huge shoes in the background emphasize that these market ladies are actually insects, probably just as ubiquitous elements at any market as the produce they live on.
