Todau beautiful tribute done by Paulo Carreira to Amália Rodrigues, Rainha do Fado (Queen of Fado) to mark the 100th anniversary of her birth :
The mural was presented on July 23, 2020, exactly on the 100th anniversary of her birth. It's located in the heart of the Portuguese district of Montreal, near the Parc du Portugal.
WHERE
Parc du Portugal, Montreal, Canada.

WHO
Few information about Paulo Carreira, only tattooist and street artist based in Montreal.
On the right, Azulejos offered by the Portuguese community to the city of Montreal for its 375th anniversary.
This mural is part of the crazy project of Herman Alves, Portuguese restaurant owner based in Montreal to make 25 murals with 25 songs around the world of Amália Rodrigues for this anniversary. I don't know if he succeeded in his project, one mural was done in Porto de Mos (Herman's birthplace in Portugal)... And I couldn't even find the song associated with the mural done in Montreal.
"In the Diaspora, the name of Amália continues to be extolled with the same pride and patriotism with which the Portuguese flag is raised.” - Herman Alves (source : Heraldnews.com)
A few words to underline my ignorance 😀, I didn't know the legendary fado singer Amália before... Best-selling Portuguese artist in history !
Just next door, there is this garage door that I find beautiful for for an advertisement for a business. Old style.
WHEN
- 2020.

The Park of Portugal is surrounded by Street Art, you can find everything : mural as the one presented in this post, tags, stickers, paste-ups... Some photos taken last weekend with the sun :
Side with the mural done by Paulo Carreira
The other side with in background, a mural done by Cryote for Mural Festival and some huge tags (I always wonder how the artists did it because the street is very busy even at night)
