| Now we'll begin. We depart from the crowded, incredibly noisy, and stinking city of Chennai, which we reached from Goa, through the city of Bangalore. The bus journey took over a million hours. Until 2000, the city of Chennai was called Madras - many may only associate it with tea, and rightly so, and let it remain so, tea was good. We don't know the reasons for changing the name of the city, but saying the word Madras causes strange anxiety and unfavorable glances in our direction in the locals. | No to zaczynamy. Wylot mamy z zatłoczonego, niesamowicie hałaśliwego, i smrodliwego miasta Chennai, do którego dotarliśmy z Goa, przez miasto Bangalore. Podróż ta autobusem trwała ponad milion godzin. Miasto Chennai do 2000 roku nosiło nazwę Madras - wielu może się to kojarzyć jedynie z herbatą, i słusznie, nam również, i niech tak pozostanie, herbata była dobra. Nie znamy powodów zmiany nazwy miasta, ale wypowiadanie słowa Madras powoduje u miejscowych dziwne zaniepokojenie i nieprzychylne spojrzenia w naszym kierunku. |

| Service points are everywhere, gourmets of beer or other liquors are worse off. Every region of India has its own drug laws. In Goa, cheap alcohol is available at every convenience store, and marijuana is available on every corner. In Chennai the opposite is true. To buy even a small beer, you need to find a special liquor store. The law of the stronger applies there. Who is bigger and has longer hands wins. Don't be confused by my last position in the picture in this peloton - I won 2 warm beers, the price is around 3 USD a bottle;) | Punkty usługowe są wszędzie, gorzej mają się smakosze piwa czy innych trunków. Każdym region Indii ma swoje przepisy dotyczące używek. Na Goa, w każdym sklepiku można kupić tani alkohol, a marihuana jest dostępna na każdym rogu. W Chennai sytuacja jest odwrotna. Żeby kupić choćby małe piwo, trzeba znaleźć specjalny sklep z alkoholem. Tam obowiązuje prawo silniejszego. Kto jest większy i ma dłuższe ręce, ten wygrywa. Niech was nie myli moja ostatnia pozycja na zdjęciu w tym peletonie - wygrałem 2 ciepłe piwa, cena około 12 zł butelka ;) |

| So much for Chennai, there is nothing interesting there, except that it is a good communication spot when it comes to flights to the Andaman Islands, to Delhi or Mumbai. So here we go - our destination is the city of Port Blair in the Andaman Islands. We bought tickets in Poland for a symbolic 100 USD return for two people, as it turned out with very decent local airlines IndiGo, because apart from the fact that there was a lot of leg room, the price was a meal - and the flight lasted only 2 hours - nice surprise. | Tyle o Chennai, nic tam ciekawego nie ma, poza tym, że jest to dobra miejscówka komunikacyjna, jeśli chodzi o loty na Andamany, do Delhi czy Bombaju. Więc lecimy - nasz punkt docelowy, to miasto Port Blair na Andamanach. Bilety kupiliśmy jeszcze w Polsce za symboliczne 100 USD w dwie strony za dwie osoby, jak się okazało w bardzo przyzwoitych miejscowych liniach lotniczych IndiGo, bo poza tym, że było dużo miejsca na nogi, to w cenie był posiłek - a lot trwał tylko 2 godziny - miłe zaskoczenie. |
Andamany/Andamans

| After two hours of a very pleasant flight, we landed in Port Blair (a city about which there will be a separate entry), but this is the first part of the trip, because we were in the Andaman Islands, but not on the island we want. We have to get to it by ferry, which is supposedly not easy, but it was. We manage it practically on the spot, because after our arrival we had an hour to go to the ferry. Another ferry left the next day :). Of course, we overpaid for the tickets, because we know - white has money and they offered us the most expensive in the LUX class with air conditioning - you know - there were no others;) | Po dwóch godzinach bardzo przyjemnego lotu wylądowaliśmy w Port Blair (mieście o którym będzie osobny wpis), ale to pierwsza część podróży, bo co prawda byliśmy na Andamanach, ale nie na tej wyspie co chcemy. Do niej musimy dopłynąć promem, co podobno nie jest łatwe, a było. Nam udaje się to praktycznie z marszu, bo po przylocie mieliśmy godzinę na prom. Kolejny prom odpływał następnego dnia:). Za bilety oczywiście przepłaciliśmy, bo wiadomo - biały ma pieniądze i zaoferowali nam najdroższe w klasie LUX z klimatyzacją - wiadomo - innych nie było ;) |

We went on board and even managed to get on the captain's bridge. We're sailing. | Trudno, kupiliśmy te bilety, ale nie korzystaliśmy z chłodni, bo jak ktoś podróżował już po Azji, to wie czym grozi korzystanie z klimatyzacji, nie czyszczonej od nowości i ustawionej na 16 stopni. Wyszliśmy na pokład i udało nam się nawet wejść na mostek kapitański. Płyniemy. |

| The ferry trip was very nice, the sea was calm, but we got there very tired. Unfortunately, the sun was already heading towards the west, and after finding accommodation, of course, we were on the alert, because we did not make any reservations, the evening found us. | Podróż promem była bardzo miła, morze spokojne, mimo to dotarliśmy na miejsce już mocno zmęczeni. Niestety słońce już chyliło się ku zachodowi, i po znalezieniu noclegów, oczywiście na czuja, bo nie robiliśmy żadnej rezerwacji, zastał nas wieczór. |
