Protoje drops his latest video for his single Self Defense off his fifth studio album, In Search Of Lost Time.

The song and video tackles a theme plaguing many societies and that is violence against women. It also tackles self defense in general and how we must be more aware in these times.

The video shows a group women taking matters into their own hands, defending themselves, dressed black and ski masks, toting baseball bats while running down a wanted man who presumably committed a criminal act against women in the community.

The song touched on some serious thoughts as to why men would commit such acts against women and how society has a role to play in the creation of these individuals.

I personally feel women will begin to actually start defending themselves like this as the song states Mi nah sit and wait pon the law. Many women will start to get gun licenses and begin to defend themselves and rightfully so.

Violence against women is a global problem and it is good to see Reggae artistes touching on the topic and sending a message to practice Self Defense.
