About Fasting and Prayers
I was happy to join this meeting today, because I learnt alot of things from this meeting. Today's meeting is all about prayers and fasting. I will little about what I heard because I was not get everything though I followed the program to end but because network.
Isa 58:6-8 KJV 6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? 7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? 8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
Fasting is very important but anytime we fast, we have to give our money and our food to the poor. Fasting and prayers goes together. Fasting for three days according to scientist helps to regenerate the immune system or it can also refers to as a regenerate switch. Fasting is something which was taught by our Lord Jesus Christ. We have to give our money, food, clothes to the poor whilst we are fasting.
And according to leviticus 18:19, it is better for spouse to stay away from sex when fasting and man should not uncover a woman nakedness when she is in her monthly period.
1Co 11:8-14 KJV 8 For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. 9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. 10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels. 11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. 12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God. 13 Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered? 14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
It is shame for a man to have long hair but long her are used to glorify Lord and the woman. If a woman is going to pray that woman should cover her hair and that is God glory for them. They are doctrine of the Bible not from a spicific denomination.
