Live Worship Service Live On Zoom
After amazing hymns and melodies, bro Daniel Razon anchored the worship service and here are things I have learnt.
There was a display of God faithfulness and goodness to his people through the show of kindness by the church of God International.
1 John 3:10
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
Galatians 6:2
Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
We need each other as children of God, we cannot do the work of God individually. We are to support each other, love one another and also ensure to love even our enemies, for this there shall see the light and glory of God in us.
John 13:35
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Mathew 5:44
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
We are to help each other even in loving one another and our enemies and also pray for there that cause you, help each other carry each burdens.
We are to be part of the body and thus being part of the body, we will help each other as parts of the same body.
In being part of the brotherhood, we help each other to love even our enemies and provoked to do good works.
2 Timothy 2:7
Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.
Galatians 2:4-5
And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.
We should endeavour not to be misled by false teachers, because there are constantly seeking to destroy our souls, truly this is the work of the devil. And there maybe those among us seeking to dissuade us from following the commandments.
Numbers 27:17
Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the Lord be not as sheep which have no shepherd. And the Lord said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him; And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight. And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient. And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the Lord : at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation. And Moses did as the Lord commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation:
We shouldn't speak evil against our leaders or those God has appointed over us.
Galatians 2:5
To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.
Titus 3:10
A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject;
1 Corinthians 13:13
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
It shouldn't be just words, we should back it up with actions, work towards loving one another.
We should strive towards it.
1 John 3:3
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
2 Timothy 3:17
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Proverbs 19:17
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord ; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
Being merciful to the poor is part of the good work God has destined for us, this are things he has instructed us to do.
James 3:17
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Mercy for the poor is part of wisdom from above.
Colossians 1:9-10
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
The good fruits, good deeds are the good works, and it all came full of mercy and good fruits. Being full of mercy and good fruits are together.
James 2:13
For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
Mathew 25:34
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Why they received and fed the hungry are all because of mercy that works.
James 2:13-18

If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
When we see somebody needing our help and mercy, let us be merciful and do the good works.
Let the act of mercy always be seen in us, let us not deny anyone mercy so far we have the capacity to show mercy.
There is no benefits if we show mercy without work.
Being merciful has fruits and that is wisdom from above.
