Zoom Mass indoctrination day 4

Lessons learnt from the Mass indoctrination:
Before we pray, God knows what we want to ask for, so we shouldn't use vain repetitions when praying because our God is not a deaf God.
Matthew 6:7&8
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
If you pray to God with a righteous heart, He will be delighted in your prayer.
If our hearts are not pure, it can be made pure through the word of God.

We were admonished to tame our tongue and it's only by the power of God that our tongues can be tamed.
James 1:26
KJV:If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

We should pray with a pure heart and a clean tongue and we should always pray without ceasing.
Matthew 15:18
KJV:But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
Proverbs 4:23
KJV:Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Let our conversations be just, let our yes be yes and our no be no.

We shouldn't use the same tongue we use to pray to say filthy things and insult others because there is power in the tongue.
James 3:9-12
KJV:Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
KJV:Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
KJV:Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
KJV:Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

Prayers from an unclean heart and a filthy tongue is an abomination unto the Lord.

We should learn how to bridle our tongue.
Proverbs 12:18
KJV:There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.

Proverbs 13:3
KJV:He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction

Proverbs 16:24
KJV:Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

The tongue is a small organ yet very powerful.
Proverbs 18:21
KJV:Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Ephesians 4:29
KJV:Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
