These pictures were taken 5 years ago today
April 5th 2015 Salt Lake County ... Lake Blanche.
I think i've shared my favorite picture from this shoot before ... these are 3 of my other favorites from that amazing night high up in the mountains.
This is still early spring and there was plenty of snow on the 3-4hr hike up the mountain.
Luckily some of the lake was not frozen and able to show some awesome reflections
We were there from day light through sunset and here in early twillight.
Though the reflection was the star of the show I do love these shots that focused more on the area that was much more pure beautiful snow.
As you may guess there was still a decent amount of soft moonlight and a bit of distant city light that was able to light up the late night scene and yet still have a good amount of starry sky
