Now coming coming back to the main motto, and sharing the cultural aspect involved. You might have observed the those Reddish cloth tied with the handle. That has a special significance and shows the cultural values attached to owning a new vehicle.

It is in our Indian tradition to get every new vehicle worshipped before bringing it on regular use or at home. And once, my beast was put out of the showroom, I took straight to the nearby temple looking for the priest, who will perform the necessary rituals.

"Om", "Swastik" garlands, this is how to make a vehicle pious. It is a way to show gratitude to the god, and help protect the vehicle from misfortunes and accidents. The owner will pray for the new vehicle to help it more harmonious to the house and avoid any bad luck.

The priest out side the temple does all the needful. He sprinkled pious Ganga water, Made a small prayer, apply kumkum or sandal paste, (made swastik and Om) on the front and back of my bike. It is considered very auspicious to have the vehicle prayed. Overall, it is for mental satisfaction to avoid any mishappening while riding the bike.

These Red cloth are the "raksha kavach" means protection too. Adding bit of glamour to my bike. Once the Pooja is performed and giving some fees to the priest and Taki g the blessing, I went out for home.

This is very old culture in India to pray everytime they bought a new vehicle. The main purpose is to bring good luck, and avoid any bad happening from the new vehicle. This is the reason why people worship vehicles be it a bicycle, a motor-cycle, or a car. You bought it and visit the temple or priest the first thing out of showroom.

So my beast is now ready to take on the road and had good ride till home. Hope to see more luck on my way.

Peace

Namaste @steemflow
