Holla fellas, how has it been over there. It is a great privilege to partake in today's contest knowing that the contest has been for a while now but I am opportune to be able to partake in this.
Now, I shall go straight to the topic for today. Today's topic is talking about holidays celebrated in my culture and why I love it or why I love to partake in it. So without wasting much time I will just go straight to what I have to say about the contest and the post.
Now we have different cultures in Nigeria precisely and different ways of celebration or different holidays each and everyone celebrates. This will be due to the culture or the norms or the values which each culture believes in. Talking about celebration, it is of different motives and of different kind. For instance we have the April which is for Easter celebration and December which is for Christmas and January which is for the new year celebration actually most people celebrate New Year holiday because it is a general holiday to everyone but mostly the Easter celebration and the Christmas celebration is just for mostly for the Christian. Why do Muslims also have their own holiday and their own celebration which they indulge in.
In some cultures, New Year's Day has a religious or spiritual importance attached to it. It is celebrated around the time when the days are lengthy. New Year's therefore represents a rebirth or the bringing back to life of the lord Jesus Christ it's is also a time which you have to plan your life ahead of the forthcoming days and forgetting the past which has gone by.
To my own culture celebration or holidays for me as a Christian, I celebrate Easter Christmas and the New Year celebration this is because it is essential for every Christians to partake in this because it's signifies the birth and reservation of Jesus Christ which is what we celebrate for Easter While for the Christmas serves as a celebration of Jesus Christ from death while the New Year celebration is called for the celebration of the populace. It is a celebration made for everyone that believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
But, among all the celebrations, The New Year celebration happens to be the best holiday ever. It brings everyone together It makes everyone go wide to various homes and destinations to meet their family to celebrate together. Do you celebration to me I love it because it's probably The only day that people go out together and I have fun together You merry, you party and do all sort of things during this time.
Another reason I like the new year celebration is that, in ones life, happiness is the key and this time around it is the time to share happiness to everyone because it is a new day a new month and it is very different from the other days, which makes the spread of happiness to everyone more real and possible. Some spend their new year celebration by attending parties of different locations, eating special New Year's foods made with special delicacies, making resolutions for the new year and shooting of fireworks of all types.
