Hello beautiful people!

@kemmyb here 👋

Welcome to the New Cross Culture's Daily Curation where we bring you some amazing posts from members across communities of different cultures, focusing on but not limited to bilingual posts.

The Cross Culture community, was created by @whatamidoing.

It is a community that supports authors who make posts that share the realities of different cultures first hand, as well as different perspectives and experiences. We look for ways in which cultures can become crosscrossed and enlightening while going beyond stereotypes associated with certain culture.

The authors whose articles have been chosen for this week are all writing content of high quality, which focus on the various topics:

  • All bilingual posts
  • Posts in regional communities or tags
  • Posts related to language or culture
  • Posts in our cross culture community

Cross Culture's daily bulletin aims to bring to light all authors whose articles would otherwise remain unnoticed and lost in the platform, therefore we tend to reward authors who create quality posts, giving them a fair chance to establish themselves on the platform.

Howbeit, that's only the half of it!!!

After careful selections, our curators which come from diverse cultures will single out the most outstanding articles among all those curated to create a weekly shout out to the authors from the Top posts of the week.

📌Therefore, here are this week's awesome authors and their posts:

About 12 years ago, I used to think that the Japanese Language is difficult to learn. Now I think it's much easier than I used to say. It's basic but not easy...The Japanese Language is written using three different types of characters. Hiragana, Katakana an Kanji. The typical Japanese script uses all of them and you can't read Japanese without learning the three components of this system.

The Javanese ethnic group is the biggest ethnic group in Indonesia. The influence of Javanese culture is very strong...Mitoni means 7 months. When the fetus is 7 months old, the parents will hold a Mitoni ceremony. In the implementation of the mitoni ceremony, a mother who is seven months pregnant is bathed in setaman (seven) flowers of water, accompanied by special prayers. The pregnant woman wears Javanese traditional clothes during the bath time.

In the 14th century, traders from the Malbar Indies, China, Cambodia, and foreign traders from France also stopped at this bridge. They buy pepper in our country and sell it back to their country. The merchants were windows assigned as delegates from each country. However, it all ended in dissension and war. This bridge has important historical value for my country. It's not just a matter of when the bridge can function for the wheels of the economy, this bridge was once a stopover for ships. The river below is a transit point for large ships and warships.
