Cooking Indonesian Pecal Vegetables. | Plant-based Cooking Challenge, Weekend #27.

Indonesia has legendary food that is very delicious and rich in nutrients for body health, some vegetables mixed with nuts make this food very suitable as a friend to eat rice. The taste is delicious, savory and sweet makes this food very loved by the people of Indonesia.

In this post I will show you how to process this food very simply along with the recipe, this article is also to take part in the #plantbased cooking challenge every week by @justinparke and today I want to cook Indonesian Pecal Sayur.

I prepared this food for lunch today with my beloved family at home, we enjoyed it with simplicity.

The first step.
The beginning of the cooking activity, of course, what we have to prepare is kitchen utensils, on occasion the kitchen utensils that I prepared were a stove, cooking pot, cooking spoon, tablespoon, dinner plate, cutting knife, cutting board, blender, water container, and other kitchen utensils.

Second Step.
Next, I prepared the ingredients needed to cook this food, the ingredients I used were vegetables and natural spices. The ingredients that I use for this food processing are as follows.

Sprouts Vegetables.
Long Bean Vegetable.
Cucumber Vegetables.
Spinach.
Swamp cabbage.
Basil.
Garlic.
Red chili pepper.
Cayenne pepper.
Lime leaves.
Aromatic ginger.
Peanuts.
Tamarind.
Brown sugar.
Salt.
Water.
Vegetable oil.

Third step.
After preparing the necessary ingredients, we will process these ingredients into cooking spices.

Cut or slice the garlic, red chili, kencur, and lime leaves as needed. Then heat the vegetable oil in a cooking pan and fry all the ingredients that have been sliced ​​earlier, these ingredients are fried so that the spices will last a long time and not go stale. Then fry the peanuts as needed until cooked.

After that puree the ingredients that have been fried earlier, add tamarind and brown sugar, puree until completely smooth, and puree the peanuts that have been fried until completely smooth, to smooth the peanuts I use a blender.

Next, mix the ingredients that have been mashed together with the peanuts, mix them well and then add enough water to make the peanut sauce as desired. Add salt to taste and tamarind and stir until evenly distributed and done.

Step Four.
After the spices are ready then the thing to do is boil the vegetables that will be used to process this dish, boil the vegetables until they are cooked.

Step Five.
The next thing is the serving of Indonesian Pecal Sayur, prepare a plate to serve this food, then place the boiled vegetables and sprinkle the peanut sauce over the vegetables. The presentation of typical Indonesian vegetable pecal food is complete and ready to be enjoyed.
