Hoy con esta interesante iniciativa propuesta por la amiga @nathyortiz, donde nos pide que hablemos de un libro diferente durante 7 días, esta vez pertenece a un libro que se termina en un día. El caballero de la armadura oxidada es uno de esos libros fáciles de leer, entretenidos y divertidos que te hacen pensar y te llevan a la reflexión. Perfecto para leerlo en un día. Lo terminé en una tarde.
Today with this interesting initiative proposed by friend @nathyortiz, where she asks us to talk about a different book for 7 days, this time it belongs to a book that you finish in one day. The knight in rusty armor is one of those easy to read, entertaining and fun books that make you think and lead you to reflection. Perfect to read in a day. I finished it in an afternoon.
El protagonista es un caballero medieval, bondadoso que vencía en todas su batallas, peleaba con dragones y rescataba damiselas, usaba una armadura muy brillante para sus batallas y nunca se la quitaba ni para dormir. Tras una acalorada discusión con su esposa, que le súplica que la deje de usar para que su hijo pueda ver su rostro, el caballero comprende que ha llegado el momento de abstenerse de la armadura, pero descubre que no puede hacerlo. Intentó que lo ayudara el herrero del reino, pero no pudo librarme de ella.
The protagonist is a medieval knight, good-natured, who won all his battles, fought dragons and rescued damsels, wore a very shiny armor for his battles and never took it off even to sleep. After a heated argument with his wife, who begs him to stop wearing it so that their son can see his face, the knight realizes that the time has come to refrain from wearing the armor, but finds that he cannot do so. He tried to get the blacksmith of the kingdom to help him, but he could not get rid of it.

Las pruebas las pasaría por tres castillos, para llegar a la cima de la verdad. El primer castillo era el del Silencio, donde la única salida era escucharse a sí mismo. El segundo Castillo era del Conocimiento, y su trabajo consistía en prestar atención a las cosas importantes de su vida. Para acceder al último Castillo de la voluntad y Osadía debía enfrentarse al dragón más cruel de todos, el del Miedos y las Dudas, que era lo que él sentía y donde aprendió que lo podía derrotar solo con la verdad. Después de escalar los tres castillos la última parada era la cima de la verdad donde aprende que debe afrontar los retos de la vida para ser libre. El se dio cuenta que a medida que pasaba sus pruebas poco a poco se iba deshaciendo de su armadura, y finalmente se dio cuenta de que "Sólo la verdad puede hacernos libres".
He would pass through three castles to reach the peak of truth. The first castle was that of Silence, where the only way out was to listen to himself. The second castle was that of Knowledge, and his job was to pay attention to the important things in his life. To access the last Castle of Will and Boldness he had to face the cruelest dragon of all, that of Fears and Doubts, which was what he felt and where he learned that he could defeat it only with the truth. After climbing the three castles the last stop was the peak of truth where he learned that he must face the challenges of life to be free. He realized that as he passed his trials he gradually shed his armor, and finally realized that "Only the truth can set us free".
Este libro está presente en mí hasta el día de hoy, por las maravillosas lecciones que nos enseña. Todos tenemos una armadura que debemos despojarnos ante cualquier situación u obstáculo que podemos enfrentarnos en cualquier momento de nuestra vida.
This book stays with me to this day because of the wonderful lessons it teaches us. We all have an armor that we must shed before any situation or obstacle that we may face at any time in our lives.
