Desde hace algunos años tengo preferencias por comprar libros usados, me encanta saber que muchos de ellos han pasado por manos llenas del saber y experiencias diferentes, imaginar cómo se sintieron las personas al leer alguna frase o capítulo me entretiene en gran manera, además, otra de las razones es que algunos libros parecen llegar por primera vez a un lugar donde los cuidarán, hojas sueltas, roturas o manchas sin sentido son las primeras observaciones que se hacen, pero tenerlos en mi hogar me da una sensación de alivio y paz. Y no olvidemos el olor de libro viejo o el tono amarillento de la vejez, que le dan la majestuosidad de la antigüedad, cosas que admiro con fascinación, parecen gritar: ¡te enseñaré más de lo que puedes imaginar!
For some years now I have had a preference for buying used books, I love to know that many of them have passed through hands full of knowledge and different experiences, imagining how people felt when reading a sentence or chapter entertains me greatly, besides, another reason is that some books seem to arrive for the first time to a place where they will be taken care of, loose pages, tears or meaningless stains are the first observations that are made, but having them in my home gives me a sense of relief and peace. And let's not forget the smell of old books or the yellowish hue of old age, which give them the majesty of antiquity, things I admire with fascination, they seem to scream: I will teach you more than you can imagine!
Tuve la oportunidad de comprar dos ediciones de la bibliotecas grandes éxitos, y en el post de hoy les hablaré sobre la edición número 10 representada por una obra de Harold Robbins titulada: Los profanadores del amor. El título es sinceramente lo más llamativo de la obra, tiene una sazón picante que da curiosidad, siendo adjudicada esta traducción por Francisco Elías, ya que el nombre original es de hecho: Where love has gone, “Donde el amor se ha ido”. Esta novela fue escrita por Harold Robbins en 1962, y presentada en esta edición en 1983, por Ediciones Orbis, S.A, España.
I had the opportunity to buy two editions of the greatest hits libraries, and in today's post I will talk about the edition number 10 represented by a play by Harold Robbins entitled: The profaners of love. The title is honestly the most striking of the work, it has a spicy spice that gives curiosity, being awarded this translation by Francisco Elías, since the original name is in fact: Where love has gone. This novel was written by Harold Robbins in 1962, and presented in this edition in 1983, by Ediciones Orbis, S.A, Spain.

Cuando tuve la oportunidad de comprar esos dos tomos estaba muy feliz, solo los había visto en imágenes. Los profanadores del amor, inspiró una película del mismo nombre en 1964, con el trabajo de Robbins adaptado para la pantalla por John Michael Hayes. Fue producida por Joseph E. Levine para Paramount Pictures y dirigida por Edward Dmytryk, la verdad no me he tomado el tiempo de ver la película, pero es seguro que está en mi lista de pendientes. Este autor también es reconocido por sus otras exitosas obras como Adiós, Janette, El precio del placer, Avenida del Parque 79 y Los aventureros, entre otros.
This Grandest Hits project consists of 100 different volumes, all highly respected works by excellent authors. When I had the opportunity to buy these two volumes I was very happy, I had only seen them in pictures. The Defilers of Love, inspired a movie of the same name in 1964, with Robbins' work adapted for the screen by John Michael Hayes. It was produced by Joseph E. Levine for Paramount Pictures and directed by Edward Dmytryk, I haven't actually taken the time to see the film, but it is certainly on my to-see list. This author is also recognized for his other successful works such as Goodbye, Janette, The Price of Pleasure, 79 Park Avenue and The Adventurers, among others.

Esa es la primera frase con la que pisa fuerte esta narrativa, mi primera impresión fue un gesto de grata sorpresa y un suspiro de esperanza por mi próximo viaje literario. Cabe destacar que esta novela consta de una redacción fluida e interesante, sin embargo, puede llegar a rozar lo aburrido, pero no te permite pensar en ello, porque estarás muy ocupado junto al protagonista principal de resolver los misterios que le respiran en la nuca.
That's the first sentence with which this narrative is written, my first impression was a gesture of pleasant surprise and a sigh of hope for my next literary journey. It should be noted that this novel consists of a fluid and interesting writing, however, it can become borderline boring, but it does not allow you to think about it, because you will be very busy with the main protagonist to solve the mysteries that breathe in the back of his neck.

El término “crimen pasional” es la clave en toda la historia, así comienza, y así termina, sin entrar en contextos extremos para no spoilear la historia. Esta novela está narrada en distintos tiempos, y la manera en la que Harold Robbins nos cuenta con pies y cabeza el pasado de los personajes y su correlación con sus acciones en el presente es lo que hace tan dinámica la interacción entre ellos. Los toques oscuros donde resalta temas interesantes como las clases sociales, el engaño, la hipocresía, las apariencias hace de esta obra una joya preciosa que atesorar, y no solo toca aspectos negativos, sino que la superación de las dificultades, el amor fraternal y el apoyo son la semilla del aprendizaje que deja en cada texto.
The term "crime of passion" is the key to the whole story, that's how it begins, and that's how it ends, without going into extreme contexts so as not to spoil the story. This novel is narrated in different times, and the way in which Harold Robbins tells us with head and feet the past of the characters and its correlation with their actions in the present is what makes the interaction between them so dynamic. The dark touches where he highlights interesting topics such as social classes, deception, hypocrisy, appearances makes this work a precious jewel to treasure, and not only touches on negative aspects, but the overcoming of difficulties, brotherly love and support are the seed of learning that he leaves in each text.
Este libro me dejó una sensación extraña pero agradable, fue una aventura total su lectura, puedes llegar a odiar a ciertos personajes, o acciones de ellos, querrás gritar de la frustración por no poder resolver las dudas con la rapidez que esperas, pero ¿acaso no es esto lo emocionante de leer? Que no te deje indiferente en ningún momento.
This book left me with a strange but pleasant sensation, it was a total adventure to read, you may come to hate certain characters, or actions of them, you will want to scream out of frustration for not being able to solve the doubts as quickly as you expect, but isn't this what is exciting about reading? That it doesn't leave you indifferent at any moment.
