𝕋ℍ𝔼 𝔻𝔸𝕐 𝕋ℍ𝔼 𝔼𝔸ℝ𝕋ℍ 𝕊𝕋𝕆𝕆𝔻 𝕊𝕋𝕀𝕃𝕃

This is not the title of a famous science fiction movie, because that day, everything happened as I am telling you and I will tell you. That night, I happened to look out on the balcony of my home to see the stars, there were many of them and they were all so stunning. I lit a cigarette and began to reflect, I missed Rosa and her senseless fights, but I felt good living alone since she gave me calm, something I couldn't get with my ex-wife for twenty-four hours.

Then, when my eyes began to droop from exhaustion, the air became paralyzed. It began to get very cold very quickly, as if the weather changed abruptly. A night bird passed in front of me, and I watched in awe as its wings began to flutter slowly, until it went limp and hovered in the air, as if freezing.

I looked at my watch to check the time, but I noticed that the hand pointing to the seconds was not moving. I shook it. I put it to my ear but it did not emit any sound. I began to worry because things were getting very strange. Then, there was a blackout in the whole city. I heard cries of neighbors complaining about the event. The air was getting colder and colder.

I went back to my room to get a coat, when suddenly, a beam of light passed by me in front of my window, illuminating my entire room. I twisted my gaze in shock and hurried back to the balcony and, in shock, glimpsed a shower of lights falling over the city.

Many landed on the streets, on the terraces of buildings and on top of cars. They fell like fatuous fires, burning in white flames, and from those flames emerged monstrous creatures with membranous insect wings. Although the darkness was intense, I could clearly make out the grotesque appearance of those beings. Their eyes were glassy and yellow, glowing with such intensity that they looked like two lanterns. Their huge muscular bodies, covered by an exoskeleton, appeared to be green at first glance, but their color was actually darker.

They began to roam the streets with their disgusting, jointed legs, like sharp claws, and began to tear down things in their path. I heard screams in the distance, twisted my gaze to the side and saw a man pleading for his life. Three monsters approached him and grabbed him by the arms and legs, ripped off his head and then detached the rest of his limbs, then left, throwing the rest of his body to the side.

I went back to my room, closing the balcony door. I picked up my phone and it was off. It wouldn't turn on, as if it was discharged, which was impossible because I had recently finished charging it. I turned to the landline, I just wanted to call my brother. But, I heard a rustling noise in the darkness of the hallway and froze, a pair of glowing yellow eyes began to watch me in the gloom. They approached me little by little until they revealed their bearer; a huge creature ten feet tall.

I could not move at any moment, I was paralyzed. The creature touched my forehead with one of its claws and in an instant I was in another place. It was like a beehive full of those giant insects, and next to me were other people, being watched like heads of cattle. From that day on, when everything I knew ended in a snap, my nightmare began.
