Entry for the Shadow Contest: Gaffe Everything!

My first impression was similar, but with more naivety. This thing looks hand made. No smog laws apply. No busted O2 sensors. No drunken entitlement.

Just a bamboo gaff.

Lots of trash here. I could gaff something every day. A gaff is like a fish hook. I’ve never used a gaff on a fish. Fish hooks seem to have a larger metal hook on the end. I think this gaffe might have been one of many wielded by charter boat deck hands... GAFFERS! Dudes that wait above while you fish use these gaffs assist fishermen. They wait for you to catch something big and then they jump up and use their gaff to snag it. Fish goes, “ouch” and man goes, “yum.”

Take a look at some other gaffs. They look “modern” to me.

This gaff I’m using feels like well made vintage guitar. Polished by skin in the hand areas. Crusty in the hook area. Tetanus anyone?

Fyuck, it’s gross and I’m disappointed. Earlier I noticed a shoe box! I need to gaff a shoes box!
