My entry to Shadow Hunters/SMASh Contest-Round 247

Hello, shadow lovers. Hope you are doing well.

It was late afternoon and the sun was still shining bright on top of a famous monument in Alwar; a district in the northwest part of Rajasthan. The traditional arched design and floral pattern beautifully engraved on white marble stones were so popular in India for a long period of time. All the Hindu motives can be seen on the walls and pillars, for example, the kalash or the lotus petal designs.

This was a cenotaph, built by the then-ruler Maharaja Vinay Singh in honour of his previous ruler and uncle, Maharaja Bhaktawar Singh and his wife Queen Moosi Rani.

It was a two-storey structure and the above image is from the second storey made of white marble while the base one has red sandstones.

This is how it looks, one of the major tourist attractions in the city, right beside the city palace that is now converted into a museum and a government office.
