you all know by now the way we celebrate a correct guess is by having a parade!
and indeed this week we have a winner!!

but before we get to that we need some judges. i always do my best to find generous and jovial judges who know how to please the contestants but these days all those types seemed to have taken a summer holiday. i'm very sorry that i was compelled to go to such extremes, but what could i do. all i was left with was a couple of hardcore nitpickers.
p1200519_edited.jpg

i mean these guys are thorough and unrelenting. if there is a nit to be found they find it and eat it alive. you see how red in the face these two have become. well that's what happens when you spend your life nitpicking all the time. but while they are undeniably both pernickety and punctilious i am sure you will agree that for this contest they have proven to be fair and unbiased. that is more than i can say about most tv news reporters these days. i mean it got so bad i put my tv in storage a while back and haven't regretted it a single day since. it's much better spending my time lighting up the shadows of hive.

enough of that. be sure to check out the original post with all the great replies and comments. here's the link: @eolianpariah/announcing-the-20th-guess-the

3 HIVE for correct guess and excellent illustration to
@numa26 for: "This time I'm almost sure that your shadow reflects, the top of A MARINE ANCHOR. Here I'll leave you the image. Greetings"

now here is where the nitpickers shine. you see there was actually a post that mentioned 'anchor' before numa26 so:
3 HIVE to @nineclaws for: "This is the shadow of an anchor that stakes open the East Gate, which is the exit from this realm. The narrow oval shaped opening of the East Gate
also casts a shadow from its position at the top of the anchor. The opening is narrow, like the eye of a needle; only those who have evolved enough and shape shifted their spiritual weight will be able to pass through it without shattering forever when they exit. There is a West Gate, but it casts no shadow since it perpetually covered in darkness, which is why only the East Gate shadow is visible with it’s anchor."

the judges were very adamant that it was a marine anchor. while they were visibly impressed by the detailed diagram complete with measurements provided by numa26 they couldn't see any gates either east or west and they were rather perplexed and perhaps slightly disturbed by the concept of shapeshifting and exiting this realm through the eye of a needle. nonetheless since nineclaws was the first to mention anchor it's only fair that her reply gets an equal reward

2 HIVE to brume7 for: "Water, water, that picture has to do with water. if you are not familiar with water then it is Slenderman with his long arms and legs jiji "😂

1+1 HIVE to @dandays for engagement + "156 comments?! Someone like @ninahaskin probably already said an antique lawn sprinkler but she probably guessed they're on a desk—school's in session.
Antique lawn ornament dancing on grass." GIF

Next!

my comment- be sure to check out 'the sprinkler' gif in the original post

this is when the judge couple shyly enquired if 400 POINTS is sufficient to get a room.
"get a room"??? i asked in a totally befuddled tone
"yes, we don't need a room when we do it but there were two contestants bantering back and forth so much that we figured since they weren't free like us it would be best if they just got a room and finished the matter"
i had no idea who or what they were talking about but i sedately explained that ecency POINTS aren't normally accepted at places where you can 'get a room' and even if they were 400 would be far too little.
somewhat disappointed they dropped that line of thinking and instead distributed
100 POINTS each to:

@corvidae for: "I mean, obviously it's a stick person wearing a small scarf and running through town with a sandwich and a leaky teakettle, but if I had to make a second guess, I would say lawn sprinkler. One that clearly isn't used very often."

@bella76 for: "It's my uncle Santo waiting for a girlfriend he says he has, but that girlfriend never arrives ja,ja,ja,ja"

@ninahaskin for: "Starting off my guess with it's something vintage or antique and from there narrowing down to it being a shadow from an old-fashioned lawn sprinkler like the ones pictured here: https://ilovecollecting10.blogspot.com/2010/03/garden-sprinklers.html?m=1

or it could be part from an old lamp fixture.
The circle thing at the top should make things easier but it doesn't. In fact it looks like some alien form of a needle with knotted thread going through it that someone got tired of having to do manually so they added a lever to it!👽
But what do I know?! It's anyone's guess!🙃🧐😀"

@sofs-su for engagement + "That would be a profile image of a scare crow , actually the remains of a the scare crow that was eaten up by crows.
However, it could also be an agricultural implement like the one used to open coconut shells, or a weighing scale of old.
I am closer with my last guess I believe."

edit: just now the judges kindly reminded me that i had neglected to mention the nomination to pixresteemer goes to @nineclaws for outstanding engagement. it was all my fault. they don't miss anything those two.
