The Stratos Tower is a building that has become an architectural heritage for the city of Valencia, Carabobo state - Venezuela. It was built in the 90's, under the firm of the contractor Añil Arquitectura, and has 10 floors, which are mostly made up of institutional offices and financial and commercial entities of the city.
Although it is not an imposing architectural work, it is undoubtedly a very significant structure with a very striking visual aspect for all the citizens of the city and passers-by in the area, adorning part of what is Bolivar Avenue in Valencia.
La torre Stratos, es un edificio que se ha convertido en un patrimonio arquitectónico para la ciudad de Valencia, estado Carabobo - Venezuela. Construida en los años 90, bajo la firma de la contratista Añil Arquitectura, y tiene 10 pisos, que se constituyen más que todo por oficinas institucionales y de entidades financieras y comerciales de la ciudad.
Aunque no sea una obra arquitectónica imponente, es sin duda una estructura muy significativa y de aspecto visual muy llamativo para todos los ciudadanos de la ciudad y transeúntes de la zona, adornando parte de lo que es la avenidad Bolívar de Valencia.
Its main design, which constitutes the main façade, is a large-scale installation designed by the Venezuelan artist Carlos Cruz-Diez, who in his lifetime had stood out as a precursor of Venezuelan and world kinetic art. He left many works in different cities of Venezuela, such as Caracas, Barquisimeto and Valencia, but also in other countries such as Spain, Germany, France, where he spent most of his residence and other countries, which have adorned with his designs in architectural works.
Thus, a few metres from the Stratos Tower, as shown in the photograph, there is another installation that has the same characteristics as the building, as a decorative part of the city. That is why this building is so special, because it is part of the legacy of a renowned artist, who through his great work and simplicity, managed to innovate in the art of kinetic art.
Su diseño principal, que constituye la fachada principal por una instalación de gran magnitud diseñada por el artista venezolano Carlos Cruz-Diez, quien en vida se había destacado como parte precursor del cinetismo venezolano y del mundo. Por lo que en su haber dejó muchas obras en diferentes ciudades de Venezuela, como Caracas, Barquisimeto y Valencia, pero también en otros países tales como en España, Alemania, Francia; donde paso gran parte de su residencia y entre demás países, que han adornado con sus diseños en obras arquitectónicas.
Es así como a unos pocos metros de la torre Stratos, como muestro en fotografía, se encuentra otra instalación que tiene las mismas características con la del edificio, como parte decorativa de la ciudad. Es por eso que este edificio se hace tan especial, por el hecho de ser parte de un legado de u reconocido artista, que por su gran labor y sencillez, logró innovar en el arte del cinetismo.
Basically the building is constructed of different materials such as mainly concrete in most of its structure, a part contains marble, granite, glass for all the windows, and ceramic, which constitutes the whole installation of the artist Carlos Cruz-Diez, designed specifically by the parameters to induce the chromatic, in its main and most striking aspect.
As with all architectural work, the installation was supervised by Carlos Cruz-Diez at the time of assembly, so as to maintain the order of perfection of his work, characterised by his perfectly elaborated designs.
Básicamente el edificio esta construidos por diferentes materiales como principalmente concreto, en la mayor parte de su estructura, una parte contiene marmol, granito, de vidrios por los todas las ventanas, y de cerámica, que constituye toda la instalación del artista Carlos Cruz-Diez, diseñado específicamente por los parámetros a la inducción a la cromática, en su aspecto principal y más llamativo.
Como todo trabajo arquitectónico, al momento de montar la instalación, fue supervisada por Carlos Cruz-Diez, de manera que mantuviera el orden de la perfección de su trabajo, caracterizado por sus diseños perfectamente elaborados.
For chromatic induction, basically as a principle, all the colours that make up the installation must create a sensation of movement, as if they were not static, and an aspect that Cruz-Diez achieved with this work, even without being in the place, and just by appreciating these photographs, moving a little, you can capture a little of that movement that is generated by the principle of kineticism.
Para inducción cromática, básicamente como principio se debe lograr que todos los colores que conforman la instalación, crea una sensación de movimiento, como si no estuviesen estáticos, y un aspecto que logró Cruz-Diez con esta obra, inclusi sin estar en el lugar, y solo con apreciar estas fotografías, moviéndose un poco pueden lograr captar un poco de ese movimiento que se genera por el principio del cinetismo.
As I said in previous paragraphs, this is a work that was executed perfectly, because of the reason for the design of this building, because of the fact that all kinetic works are rigorously looked after in terms of their aesthetics and the structuring of their colours, so that the art of colour movement can be achieved by means of these installations.
So there is no doubt that Carlos Cruz-Diez, was a genius to create great installations, built by himself, with his own hands, like a magician that magic. And he has given all over the world this great gift of his art.
Como bien decía en parrafos anteriores, ésta es una obra que fue ejecutada perfectamente, por el motivo del diseño para este edificio, por el hecho que toda obra cinética, se cuida rigurosamente su estética y estructuración de sus colores, para que se puede lograr ese arte que es el movimiento de los colores por medio de estas instalaciones.
Por lo que no cabe en duda, que Carlos Cruz-Diez, fue un genio para crear grandes instalaciones, construidas por el mismo, con sus propias manos, como un mago que esa magia. Y ha dado por todo el mundo este gran regalo de su arte.
