Sometimes it seems that my hometown Lviv is one continuous cafe. Because the city is ancient, it has always attracted many tourists. Not surprisingly, over the past 15 years, the number of different restaurants has grown significantly.
Everyone is trying to attract customers with interesting menus and fashionable interiors. Since the central part of the city was built in the 16th-18th centuries, the interior often uses untreated brickwork, wooden beams, wrought iron furniture, in short, everything that a person associates with the spirit of antiquity and the "Middle Ages" (I use this word in in the broadest sense).
Іноді здається, що моє рідне місто Львів - це одне суцільне кафе. Оскільки місто старовинне, то завжди приваблювало чимало туристів. Не дивно, що за останні 15 років кількість різних закладів харчування дуже зросла. Кожен намагається привабити клієнтів цікавим меню і модним інтер'єром. Оскільки центральна частина міста збудована у 16-18 століттях, то часто в інтер'єрі використовують необроблену цегляні кладку, дерев'яні балки, ковані елементи меблів, одним словом все що у людини асоціюється з духом старовини і "Середньовіччя" (вживаю це слово у найширшому значенні).
It would be interesting to conduct a kind of tours of my Lviv in search of cool interiors. But now I live in the village and I rarely come here... Maybe in time I will realize this idea.
Today is my first modest attempt! So, recently, my two friends and I finally met to talk about life and share news.
The girls wanted pizza, so we decided to go to the well-known restaurant De Manjaro. Once upon a time I was there several times and I know that it is delicious and relatively inexpensive. I once read about the updated interior of De Manjaro in the article @bugavi, so I already knew what to expect.
Цікаво було б провести своєрідний ряд екскурсій по моєму рідному місті у пошуках класних інтер'єрів. Але я тепер живу в селі і вкрай рідко тут буваю... Може з часом я втілю цей задум.
Сьогодні моя перша скромна спроба! Отож, нещодавно ми з двома подругами нарешті зустрілися, щоб поговорити про життя і обмінятись новинами.
Дівчата хотіли піццу, тому вирішили піти у добре знайомий нам ресторан Де Манджаро. Колись давно я була там кілька разів і знаю, що там смачно і відносно недорого. Про оновлений інтер'єр Де Манджаро я колись читала у статті @bugavi, тому вже знала, чого чекати.
In my opinion, the main task of the designer is to create coziness and comfort. Here we immediately felt comfortable and convenient.
Here is light, but this light is soft and spotty. Here is spacious, but everyone can find a place where they will feel "out of sight". We traditionally ordered pizza and beer and while we were waiting for the order, I took a few photos of it all. I liked the contrast between the gray furniture (by the way, I really like upholstered chairs and sofas) and bright details of the decor. Here they are, unhewn rough brick walls !! How attractive a picture or such an interesting "sculpture" with screws looks here!
На мою думку, головне завдання будь якого дизайну - створити затишок і комфорт. Тут ми одразу себе відчули зручно і комфортно. Тут світло, але це світло м'яке і точкове. Тут просторо, але кожен може знайти куточок, де почуватиметься "не на виду". Ми традиційно замовили піцу і пиво і поки чекали замовлення, я трішки це все фотографувала. Мені сподобався контраст між сірими меблями (до речі, дуже люблю м'які стільці та дивани) і яскравими деталями декору. Ось вони, неотесані грубуваті цегляні стіни!! Як привабливо виглядає на них картина чи така цікава "скульптура" із шурупів!
The lion is a symbol of our city. The modern panel seems to draw in some special bright reality. I'm a fan of pastel tones and antiques in the interior, but in this case, the lion did not irritate me:) And I think the lion is a little sad. And what do you say?
Лев - символ нашого міста. Сучасне панно ніби затягує в якусь особливу яскраву реальність. Я прихильниця пастельних тонів і всяких антикварних речей в інтер'єрі, проте в даному випадку лев мене не дратував:)
When I returned home, I looked closely at the lampshades in the photo. Wow, I didn't immediately notice that these are ordinary buckets! Here they are not only stylish, but also practical: they give light that is aimed at a certain object, such as a table with food.
Повернувшись додому я переглядала фото і придивилась до абажурів. Ого, я не одразу помітила, що це звичайнісінькі відра. Тут це не лише стильно, але й практично: вони дають світло, яке направлене на певний об'єкт, наприклад стіл з їжею.
The facility has a second floor, where I went up for a few minutes. I like it there more than on the first one! First, there are always fewer people. Second, these beautiful wooden beams on the ceiling. Third, I like old bikes in design. Next time I will definitely sit here somewhere in the corner, enjoying dessert!
У закладі є ще другий поверх, куди я піднялася на кілька хвилин. Там мені подобається навіть більше, ніж на першому! По-перше там завжди менше людей. По-друге, ці красиві дерев'яні балки на стелі. По-третє, мені подобаються старі велосипеди в дизайні. На наступний раз неодмінно посиджу десь тут у куточку, смакуючи десертом!
Between the floors, a picture in the semi-darkness on a brick wall attracts attention: its images can be viewed for a long time. I see Jesus Christ there. This is not surprising, because the owner of the cafe is a believer and even holds Christian meetings here every week.
Між поверхами привертає увагу картина у півтемряві на цегляній стіні: її образи можна довго розглядати. Я бачу там Ісуса Христа. Це не дивно, бо власник кафе є віруючим і навіть проводить християнські зустрічі ось тут на другому поверсі щотижня.
The pizza turned out delicious and the conversations were active. And time passed quickly. We thanked the staff and went outside, where the traditional Lviv rain had just started... That's why Lviv residents love their cafes so much: they not only eat or talk there, but also hide from the rain:)
Піцца вийшла смачною і розмови активними. А час пропливав як завжди швидко. Ми подякували персоналу і вийшли на вулицю, де якраз почався традиційний львівський дощ... Ось чому львів'яни так люблять свої кафе: вони не лише їдять чи спілкуються там, але також і ховаються від дощу:)
