Monumento los próceres | Monumento los Proceres
En esta oportunidad hablaré de un monumento emblemático en mi país. Ubicado en la ciudad de Caracas, Distrito Capital, en la parroquia El Valle, entre el fuerte Tiuna y la academia militar del ejército.
In this opportunity I will talk about an emblematic monument in my country. Located in the city of Caracas, Capital District, in the parish of El Valle, between Fort Tiuna and the military academy of the army.
El paseo Los Próceres es un Monumento Histórico Nacional, ícono de la arquitectura y el urbanismo de la Venezuela moderna, que fue erigido para honrar la gloria de los próceres de la Independencia de Venezuela.
El diseño principal fue
realizado en 1957 por Ernesto Maragalli Noble (1903-1991), constituye una alegoría a los símbolos patrios: el escudo, la bandera y el himno nacional. El arquitecto Luis Malaussena fue el autor constructor principal de esta hermosa arquitectura la cuál comprende el gran Patio de Honor y sus Monolitos de los Próceres y la serie de enormes estatuas de los próceres, las fuentes, espejos de agua y las caminerías de jardines con elementos de decoración barroca y otros.
The Paseo Los Próceres is a National Historic Monument, an icon of the architecture and urbanism of modern Venezuela, which was erected to honor the glory of the heroes of Venezuela's Independence.
The main design was made in 1957 by Ernesto Maragalli Noble (1903-1991), is an allegory to the patriotic symbols: the coat of arms, the flag and the national anthem. The architect Luis Malaussena was the main author and builder of this beautiful architecture which includes the great Patio de Honor and its Monoliths of the Heroes and the series of enormous statues of the heroes, the fountains, water mirrors and the garden paths with baroque and other decorative elements.
19 de abril de 1956 fue inaugurado por el entonces presidente de Venezuela, general Marcos Pérez Jiménez. En 1993 se convirtió en monumento histórico de la nación.
En mis tiempos de infancia siempre veía las torres solo por televisión, y nunca perdí las esperanzas de poder estar allí y poder tocarlas y sentir esa gran energía de fuerza y espíritu guerrero. Dios me dió la oportunidad en el año de poder cumplir ese sueño, y estar allí en medio de esas grandes obras de arquitectura, fue mi momento reconfortante el cual me hizo sentir parte de esa impetuosa y heroica historia libertaria que nos identifica como venezolanos.
On April 19, 1956 it was inaugurated by the then president of Venezuela, General Marcos Pérez Jiménez. In 1993 it became a national historic monument.
In my childhood days I always saw the towers only on television, and I never lost hope of being there and being able to touch them and feel that great energy of strength and warrior spirit. God gave me the opportunity in the year to fulfill that dream, and being there in the middle of those great works of architecture, was my comforting moment which made me feel part of that impetuous and heroic libertarian history that identifies us as Venezuelans.
Está obra representa para los venezolanos la libertad, la lucha y las victorias obtenidas por nuestros héroes y heroínas de la patria, a fin de conquistar la libertad, tiempo en el cual éramos esclavos de los españoles, durante la época del colonialismo. Los elementos que lo conforman nos recuerdan las glorias militares que se llevaron a cabo en nuestro país.
This work represents for Venezuelans the freedom, the struggle and the victories obtained by our heroes and heroines of the homeland, in order to conquer the freedom, time in which we were slaves of the Spaniards, during the time of colonialism. The elements that conform it remind us of the military glories that took place in our country.
En lo sentimental estar allí en medio de esas dos torres arquitectónicas, invade nuestra mente de grandes recuerdos históricos que aunque no estuvimos presente en cuerpo es como si nuestro espíritu hubiere estado allí. Representa para mí, grandeza, libertad, lucha, victoria, patriotismo, esperanza, alegría, y un gran orgullo de ser parte del pueblo guerrero venezolano.
En la actualidad este paseo los próceres se ha convertido en uno de los lugares predilectos de los caraqueños, y es que no es para menos, porque allí está reflejada e impregnada nuestra independencia, es el lugar donde se desarrollan todos los desfiles para conmemorar las fechas patrias. Algunos de los héroes y heroínas que puedo reflejar:
- Simón Bolívar.
- Simón Rodríguez.
- José Antonio Páez
- Antonio José de Sucre.
- Manuela Sáenz
- José Félix Ribas.
Sentimentally, being there in the middle of those two architectural towers, invades our mind with great historical memories that although we were not present in body, it is as if our spirit had been there. It represents for me, greatness, freedom, struggle, victory, patriotism, hope, joy, and a great pride of being part of the Venezuelan warrior people.
Nowadays this promenade has become one of the favorite places of the people of Caracas, and it is not for less, because there is reflected and impregnated our independence, it is the place where all the parades take place to commemorate the patriotic dates. Some of the heroes and heroines that I can reflect:
- Simón Bolívar.
- Simón Rodríguez.
- José Antonio Páez.
- Antonio José de Sucre.
- Manuela Saenz
- José Félix Ribas.
Para mí como venezolana es un orgullo poder conocer parte de la historia que me identifica como venezolana, y estar ahí en medio de estas grandes torres es para mí un gran privilegio sin duda alguna uno de mis más grandes y mejores momentos como venezolana.
For me as a Venezuelan it is an honor to be able to know part of the history that identifies me as a Venezuelan, and to be there in the middle of these great towers is for me a great privilege, undoubtedly one of my greatest and best moments as a Venezuelan.
