@lighcapturedThe Ultimate: Tuscany, Italy

"Tuscany! A magical word when it comes to architecture, design, nature, travel experiences and generally what the human spirit could achieve when creative energy is the leading power. I am in love with this Italian province since the first time I've visited it. Not only because it is the birthplace of Leonardo. Vinci is a small town there but probably everywhere on our planet knows who he was! An Artist, Inventor, Architect, Lover, Explorer, the list could go on and on! That's not the main reason I fell in love with Tuscany. My unbreakable bond with it was created when I realized what Humanity could achieve if all our minds are aimed at adding more beauty into our world and be creative instead of fighting each other and simply follow our destructive impulses....With such heritage, the Italian design could aim only at being better and better."

@bambukaTauric Khersonesos (visual walk 21 photos)

"Most of the buildings and structures have not survived to our time due to the destruction during the wars and simply from time and weather conditions. The first excavations for scientific purposes at the site of the deceased Khersonesos were carried out in 1827, by order of the chief commander of the Black Sea Fleet and ports, A.S. Greig. Since then, excavations have continued to this day.

Ancient foundations can be seen directly on the seashore. According to them, one can make an assumption about a rather dense building of the settlement. This is understandable, the land fenced with fortress walls is always scarce, and for the life of the townspeople and the military garrison, many buildings of various purposes are needed."

@claudio83The magnificence of Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore

"The Florentine basilica, like most Christian churches, consists of three naves, the central one wider and larger than the two lateral ones and they end their run with the enormous dome, the largest in the world in masonry, built by Filippo Brunelleschi, among the greatest engineers of the Renaissance. The construction of the dome, over 100 meters high and almost 50 meters wide, was a high-level engineering work, which took a few decades to create and Brunelleschi precisely calculated every detail, from the inclination of the walls to the arrangement of the herringbone bricks. Seen from the top of the Tower it looks like a great astronomical observation point, and perhaps it was for the many scholars who have visited the structure over the centuries."
