Neoxian City Minetest: Built a Bank and a Bridge!

BridgeandBankatNight.png

Well hello there!

I previously logged in on the Nexian Minetest server and did a little building, but forgot to document it with pictures and such.

I thought this time I would take a few pics and do a little write up about it! It's fun building in this Minecraft clone world, even if it is a bit lonely in there...

There's this stunning river gorge not too far from the spawn point and there is already a home built high on a cliff looking over it. I decided the divide needed to be spanned, so I set out to build a bridge.

I was merely planning on building a bridge at first, but on the other side was this nicely sized flat area just begging to be developed!

I wasn't sure at first what to build, but I got a little nostalgic and decided to pay homage to Neoxian history.

There used to be a bank ran on Steem, but with the unsteadiness of the change to Hive and everything, it was shut down.

With this being blockchain, it seemed appropriate to build a Temple to Finance as well :P

Thankfully this server is set to creative mode, and there is a nice palate of materials to use. To me the building looks quite impressive with its stone brick facade, columns, and red and gold accents. It kind of has an art deco feel to it, I think. At night, the stained glass windows look really nice illuminated inside by the chandeliers hanging from the richly decorated ceiling.

Inside is a carpet that mirrors the color scheme of the stained glass windows, as well as three tellers desks. I think I will add lamps or something to the desks to spice it up a little more. The red accents on the upper wall help break up the stone and glass, and a solid gold ceiling panel sits at the crown of the roof.

I hope you've enjoyed my little report on tonight's build, and maybe I will catch you in the city and we can brainstorm and build the city up even more!
