Other Niche Communities Curation Report #122

OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 122nd compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

My Beautiful Wednesday Walk In Bavaria, Germany

It really was my first beautiful walk in Erding´s Stadtpark. The town of Erding is a huge area near Munich and the Munich International Airport is located in this district. The town of Erding as such is small but it is very clean and enchanting old lovely houses.

Sky, Road, Flowers, River

Maybe someone remembers, or maybe not, that last week I took the Sigma AF 18-35 mm f/1.8 DC HSM Nikon F out of my drawers, got into my green UAZ and went to photograph the sunset. But there was still about an hour left before sunset. And the most terrible thing was that a large black cloud was approaching and thunder sounds were heard from its side. I then took some photos of the flowers and the surrounding area: the meadow, the sky, the forest, the road, the river.

Rebuilding my Tackle Box

I bought the bobbers because I thought they might be a good fit for the Altoids Tin survival kit. It should work after I rearrange things a bit. Some kit lists advise a birthday candle instead of a tealight, so that would save a lot of space, too. I also plan to replace the tangle of heavy line with the thinner, stronger braided line pictured above. Perhaps I'll even assemble a couple leaders. After some experimentation, there will probably be a proper update on that project.

Oil Painting - Old Town Alexandria Virginia

I recently hosted some friends from out of town that we hadn’t seen since pre-Covid. It’s great that things are getting back to normal and we are able to visit restaurants and galleries again. My wife and I took our friends down to Old Town Alexandria and wandered the shops and galleries along King Street.

[ENG-ES] POKEM... I MEAN NEO-MONSTERS!

Everyone at this point in life knows or knows about Pokemon, either from anime or video games. And the truth is that this is nowadays one of the biggest franchises in entertainment. But today I have not come to talk to you about pokemon, I am not the best person to do it either. Today I came to tell you about a pocket monster style game. Where like the classic pokemon, at the beginning of the game you must make a decision, the decision of which will be your initial monster, which will accompany you throughout your adventures in this fun game called:

Some pictures of the blue tit

The Eurasian Blue Tit is one of the more common birds here in Austria and Europe. It is a small bird that can be found in a variety of environments, and is typically found in deciduous woodland, parks, gardens and even in the center of towns. I already took several pictures of this cute bird in the last years on different locations. Since these birds are very small I really need to get very close to them to get a great picture, but on the other hand they are not really shy in the city, so it is not so difficult to get a little closer to them.

On the Hunt for the Prettiest Toilet

Yesterday I came across a post by @riverflows , presenting what could be the most beautiful public restroom in Australia. Yes, our fellow Hivean is on the road again, and she has just traveled with her partner all the way across the continent just to visit this wonderful loo. Awesome, @riverflows , I'm excited for you! I must say, I can relate quite a bit, because I've done a similar thing myself on time in New Zealand. Of course, the distances are nowhere in comparison, but I actually took a day-long hitchhiking trip to Kawakawa in the Northland, to visit a world famous toilet, which I want to share with you here. Thank you @riverflows for the inspiration!
