A Sunday drive with no destination in mind

The quick decision for a carefree relaxed Sunday drive took very little deliberation early yesterday morning. For once we were not expecting family or friends and best of all there were no urgent to do jobs around the house. We were free agents who went into fast mode getting out of the house. In no time we were driving on quiet country roads with the occasional horse float, biker, caravan and farm ute that all moved at an extra slow pace.

We did not mind, it was Sunday!

The want for a cup of coffee took us to the rural town of Peachester located in a pretty rainforest setting at the back of the Sunshine Coast Region. It is a must stop place to buy two cappuccinos at the one and only very country styled cafe that is usually full of lots of other Sunday drivers and motor bike riders stopping for breakfast and coffee.

This is where the customers order their food and coffees. For some reason I find the little message reassuring.

And this is where we wait for the coffee to be passed out through the window. We had just missed the breakfast crowd I was told which is a plus for us as it lessens our waiting time for coffee.

While I waiting for the coffee to be made I took some photos to show you more of this one little horse town that has a population of about 1300 and boasts of a little primary school. according to the 2018 census. Peachester

Here is the Peachester Store, the iconic corner shop with the ageless petrol pump, the very convenient party ice stock. The outdoor chairs and tables, signs and wheelie bins add to its character.

This place is a busy social meet up and it is normal to see loads of cars and bikes lined up. No-one seems to be in a hurry on a Sunday.

It would seem that every detail had been considered in creating the special inviting atmosphere at Peachester. Look at the stag horns that some keen gardener had attached to the tree. The flowers added a special touch of colour. I am glad I looked up on this visit and actually saw them.

The coffee took no time at all to be made and as I snapped Ben on his way toward me this kindly considerate gentleman paused while I took my photo. He was one of the Sunday bikers.

We sat outside and sipped on our coffees watching vehicles go by enjoying the last little bit of our Sunday destination at Peachester, before driving home at a leisurely pace feeling very rested. Thank the lord for Sundays

Sunday is not a Sunday on Hive without the wonderful @ace108's @cOff33a for #beautifulSunday and #sublimeSunday. They add an extra appeal and motivation to bloggers like me who not only enjoy Sundays but also writing about them. Always grateful to them both.

oooooooooooooOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo

I don't know how it happens but inevitably in my photo snapping collecting information mode I always seem to meet a flower or two. This is the pretty pink flowering shrub that stopped me in my tracks to say a little hello. Being #alwaysaflower girl I of course got up close and personal to say hello back.
