Good morning, good afternoon, good evening people, how is your weekend? Continuing the Inktober 2.021 today's word is god, and what better choice than Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi or Spirited Away from 2001.
Nigihayami Kohakunushi el Dios del veloz río ámbar, un joven que llego a perder su nombre por hacer un pacto con la bruja Yubaba, luego que los humanos secaran el rio para poder construir en él. Por mucho tiempo estuvo a servicio de la bruja, con un sinfín de tareas y sin importar si eran peligrosas o no. Lo único que Haku tenía certeza es que debía ayudar y proteger a Chihiro.
Nigihayami Kohakunushi the God of the swift amber river, a young man who lost his name because he made a pact with the witch Yubaba, after the humans dried up the river so they could build on it. For a long time he was at the witch's service, with a countless number of tasks, no matter if they were dangerous or not. The only thing Haku was certain of was that he had to help and protect Chihiro.

¡Ok hablemos de la ilustración! Espero poder cumplir con una idea que tengo en mente que este dibujo sea la primera parte; Haku es de mis personajes favoritos del Studio Ghibli y es una lástima que las segundas partes no son una opción. Por ello trate de imaginarlo como seria adulto, pase todo el día pensándolo. Su forma dragón me gusta mucho y decía incluirla detrás. El boceto salió relativamente rápido en cuanto a la pose, con la ropa si tuve más problemas ya que no podía buscar muchas referencias ya que pasé 14 horas sin luz y le di prioridad a tomar fotos del proceso.
Ok let's talk about the illustration! I hope I can fulfill an idea I have in mind that this drawing is the first part; Haku is one of my favorite Studio Ghibli characters and it's a waste that second parts are not an option. So I tried to imagine him as an adult, I spent all day thinking about it. I really like his dragon form and I said to include it in the background. The sketch came out relatively fast in terms of the pose, with the clothes I had more problems because I could not look for many references since I spent 14 hours without electricity and I gave priority to take pictures of the process.
Pero, lo importante es ser perseverante e intentar varias veces, hasta que nos agrade el resultado; como podrán notan la parte superior de traje la cambie en diferentes ocasiones, lo único que tenía seguro era, las mangas largar al viento. Las manos sufrí, porque no me salían, parecían un rectándolo con palitos. Usé mis manos como referencia y fue que pude avanzar por fin “lo malo ûwú tengo manos pequeñas y algo gorditas”. Un detalle que me gusto agregar es que ambas formas tuvieran los ojos similares.
But, the important thing is to be perseverant and try several times, until we like the result; as you can see the upper part of the suit I changed it in different occasions, the only thing I had for sure was, the sleeves to be blown in the wind. The hands suffered, because they didn't come out, they looked like a rectangle with sticks. I used my hands as a reference and it was that I could finally move forward "the bad thing ûwú I have small and somewhat chubby hands". A detail that I liked to add is that both shapes had similar eyes.
EL cabello también me dio un poco de problemas ya que solo recordaba que tiene un corte de muy recto / simétrico, incluso se puede apreciar, en unas partes las puntas son rectas, en otras se ve iba el trazo que normalmente utilizo XD, sentimientos encontrados.
The hair also gave me a bit of trouble since I only remembered that it has a very straight / symmetrical cut, you can even appreciate, in some parts the ends are straight, in others you can see the line that I normally use XD, mixed feelings.
Para la forma dragón, siempre quise intentar dibujar los cuernos con textura, me agrado mucho lo relajante que es, el cabello por un lado quería pintarlo oscuro como el humano, pero busque brevemente una referencia y es más claro, por otro lado, en el filme recuerdo que en unas partes se ve que tiene escamas, pero en otras se ve como si tuviera pelo en todo el cuerpo. ¿Pueden darme su opinión como se vería mejor? Quiero dedicarle más tiempo y que en unos días aparezca de nuevo con mejor aspecto.
For the dragon form, I always wanted to try to draw the horns with texture, I really liked how relaxing it is, the hair on the one hand I wanted to paint it dark like the human, but I briefly looked for a reference and it is lighter, on the other hand, in the film I remember that in some parts it looks like it has scales, but in others it looks like it has hair all over the body. Can you give me your opinion on how it would look better? I want to spend more time with it and in a few days it will appear again looking better.
