Esta cabeza la hice a lápiz, como todos los demás dibujos de esta serie. El referente del cual la hice es uno de los ejercicio de dibujo del curso de Charles Bargue, la lámina 44.
Representa a Psique, al parecer la estátua original está en Nápoles. El mito antiguo de esta diosa, narrado por Apuleyo, está cargado de profundos significados sobre lo que s nuestra mente. Bien sabemos que esa palabra en griego denota mente y alma. Así la protagonista del mito tiene una relación con Eros, el amor, bien cargada de complicaciones y pruebas. Tal como lo vivimos en nuestras vidas, esa complicada relación entre el "cerebro" y el "corazón", o la razón y la pasión. Les recomiedo leerlo.

I made this head in pencil, like all the other drawings in this series. The reference from which I made it is one of the drawing exercises from Charles Bargue's course, sheet 44.
It represents Psyche, apparently the original statue is in Naples. The ancient myth of this goddess, narrated by Apuleius, is loaded with deep meanings about what our mind is. We well know that this word in Greek denotes mind and soul. Thus the protagonist of the myth has a relationship with Eros, love, full of complications and trials. Just as we live it in our lives, that complicated relationship between the "brain" and the "heart", or reason and passion. I recommend you to read it.
I couldn't take many pictures with my mobile phone because I was concentrated in drawing.
