"I have the best crew to ever sail the seven seas!" Captain Tiger thought to herself proudly. She walked the deck, but everyone already knew their job. Then the veteran explorer went to her quarters to study the charts again.

"It has to be in Satan's Circle. I just know it!" she whispered emphatically. The search for the Dreemstone had already taken ten years of Captain Tiger's life. Not that she would have traded a second of it for the world! The hunt had been the adventure of a lifetime.

The Dreemstone, an artifact rumored to be from Atlantis, had belonged to Charles The Great. He had used it to conquer nations. It was said that he could travel thousands of miles instantly, and even take a few of his top generals with him. Who knew what other powers it might possess?

However one day he abused its power. Young Charles decided that he would search the world for a beautiful woman, and make her his queen. He found a lovely young lady with a wonderful laugh, but she rejected his proposal. Not used to being refused anything, he wrapped his arms around her and willed himself home. When he arrived, he was alone and the Dreemstone was gone.

Ever since that day explorers have searched for the Dreemstone, but Captain Tiger had an advantage. Being the descendant of the woman who rejected Charles The Great, she had information that none of the other treasure hunters knew existed.

"Grandma always said that after Charles grabbed great great great great great grandma Lilah, the next thing she remembered was standing among strange trees with big brown balls growing on them. And that she was on a small island that was almost round, with two peninsulas. If only she had picked up the stone instead of just putting her fingertip on it!"

Captain Tiger had gone over this information until she could recite it in her sleep, but she never lost interest in going over it in hopes of finding a new clue. There had to be thousands of small islands with two peninsulas and coconut trees. And to complicate matters many of them had never been recorded on any map.

"This little island in Satan's Circle has to be it!" she said, more convinced than ever. Located smack in the middle of the infamous waterway, it was noted as never being sighted close enough to chart, but appearing to have two peninsulas.

Knock knock knock.

"Yes?"

"Captain, we are approaching Satan's Circle. You said you wanted to make a speech before we enter."

"Thank you, Ishmaheel."

"Crew, we are about to enter one of the most feared stretches of water known to man. If anyone wants to change their mind, I will provide you with a lifeboat and supplies. The current will carry you straight to the shipping lanes. Nobody will think less of you for not wanting to go where so few have returned from."

"Haaaa!!! You'll not be gettin' rid of me so easily!"

"Ye be callin' us coward?"

"Ye promised treasure, and I be seein' it!"

"The good ship Trennd be me home!"

And so it went, until each soul had their say. Captain Tiger was brimming with pride. "Sail on, to Satan's Circle! Our destiny awaits!"

Several hours later the glassy smooth sea suddenly became a raging monster, with waves three times as high as the good ship Trennd. They were pulled down, down, down - only to shoot straight up like a cork!

The ship couldn't take very much of this, and eventually broke into pieces. The angry sea whipped the wrecked pieces around and around in a whirlpool, smashing them against each other.

Oddly, the minute the good ship Trennd was utterly destroyed, the sea calmed. The clouds dispersed to reveal a spectacular sunrise.

"Ishmaheel? Kenny! Sunny?!?! Crew!!!" shouted Captain Tiger.

"Aye, Captain!"

"Here!"

"I be over here!"

Some had been carried a long ways off, but the current brought them back. The entire crew had survived, thanks to their Captain's insistence that they become expert swimmers and attach something to themselves that couldn't sink. Some had injuries due to the debris, but all would recover with care.

"Land! Land ho! Swim for it!" the Captain exclaimed, spotting the tall trees. Once they reached the beach, everyone except Captain Tiger rested. She saw the two peninsulas, and the coconuts growing on the tall trees!

"This has to be the place!!!"

In the very center of the island, there was a strange arrangement of huge blocks of stone. The stone didn't look like it had come from the area. In fact the color, shape, and size of the massive blocks were like that of Stonehenge.

And in the very center of the circle sat a white marble table, with a crystalline white, grey, and black stone resting on it.

"It's beautiful! Like a cat's eye marble, but as big as my hand! I had no idea it was a jewel! I wonder how it works..." she gasped, carefully holding it to a ray of sun.

The wonderful warmth and beauty made her think about home, and how much she would love to show this to her grandmother, who had told her about it so many times as she was growing up.

Suddenly she was in her grandmother's garden! "Oh, this will never do! I have to rescue my crew first!" Quickly she thought about the circle on Dreemport Island, as she had decided to name it.

"What are you going to do with it?" asked Ishmaheel.

"If all of you agree, I would like to make Dreemport Island our home base. The Dreemstone belongs here, and I have a feeling that ring you see in the middle magnifies its power. We can use this island as a safe port, and hunt for other treasures!"

"Aye, Captain!"

"We can go anywhere, any time! The island will make a perfect home port - a Dreemport!"
