All the villagers were waiting the holiday of independence of Ukraine.
Young people - because there will be a concert and a disco in a country club :) And older people - because they understand the true price of independence, freedom ... And in Ukraine, which has always been enslaved by different peoples, so many people gave their lives for the same independence and the right to live on their Free Earth!
Це свято чекають всі мешканці села - свято незалежності України.
Молоді люди - тому що буде концерт та дискотека в сільському клубі :) А старші люди - тому що вони розуміють справжню ціну незалежності, волі... І в Україні, яка завжди була поневолювана різними народами, так багато людей віддали свої життя за цю саму незалежність і право жити на своїй Вільній Землі!
On August 24, 30 years have passed since Ukraine was declared independent. I was still too young then to think about such a serious topic. And only now, having lived 30 years in independent Ukraine, I understand the difference! And I am glad that my children have more rights and freedoms, that every next generation inside their soul is freer from fear and restrictions!
24 серпня минуло 30 років, відколи Україна була проголошена незалежною. Я тоді була ще дуже юною, щоб задумуватись на таку серйозну тему. І лише тепер, проживши 30 років в незалежній Україні, я розумію різницю! І радію, що мої діти мають більше прав та свободи, що кожне наступне покоління всередині своєї душі є більш вільним від страху та обмежень!
Today I want to tell you about a holiday in the village of Rokytne, where I live during the warm period of the year with my 81-year-old father, who is now an old-timer of the village and the oldest member of the church.
And so we went to a village club, where our neighbor works as an organizer of such events.
Сьогодні я хочу розповісти вам про свято в селі Рокитне, де я живу протягом теплого періоду року разом з моїм 81 літнім батьком, який тепер вже є старожилом села і найстаршим членом церкви.
І ось ми пішли в сільський клуб, де наша сусідка працює організатором таких заходів.
After a short liturgy at the grave of the soldiers of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army who gave their lives for freedom, we all gathered in a small room with a stage where children performed.
And it was so nice to see the older residents of the village who came to see how their grandchildren and great-grandchildren will perform, and to see each other - those who are still alive! Remember those harsh old days and rejoice that these children, such as flowers in their wreaths, can freely develop their talents and enjoy life!
Після короткої літургії біля могили воїнів Української повстанської армії, які віддали свої життя за волю, ми всі зібрались в маленькому приміщенні зі сценою, де виступали діти.
І так приємно було бачити старших жителів села, які прийшли побачити, як будуть виступати їх внуки та правнуки, і побачити один одного - ті, які ще залишились живими! Пригадати ті суворі давні часи і радіти за те, що ці діти, такі як квіти в своїх віночках можуть свобідно розвивати свої таланти та радіти життю!
