Hace unas semanas empecé a sentir malestar y resultó ser Covid, justo el primer día que me sentí decaída era el cumpleaños de mi compadre @alexis26 y por precaución (aún no sabía que era Covid lo que tenía) no quise ir a su casa a la celebración con unos amigos que tenemos en común.
Tan pronto me sentí recuperada organice una celebración sorpresa en mi casa, lo invite a almorzar con su pareja, mi amiga @mosa71 e hice una torta para cantar el cumpleaños.

A few weeks ago I started to feel sick and it turned out to be Covid, just the first day I felt down was the birthday of @alexis26, godfather of my son Gael, and as a precaution (I still didn't know it was Covid I had) I didn't want to go to his house to the celebration with some friends we have in common.
As soon as I felt recovered I organized a surprise celebration at my house, I invited him to lunch with his partner, my friend @mosa71 and I made a cake to sing the birthday.
Fue una tarde muy especial, tengo mucho aprecio por mis compadres que han sido conmigo amigos excepcionales. Mientras estuve enferma me asistieron con muchas cosas, incluso a lavar la ropa y no les importo venir a casa a riesgo de contagiarse, por eso quise tener un gesto de reconocimiento a esa amistad tan especial. Son sin duda dos angelitos que Dios puso en mi camino y que ahora son parte de mi familia.
Cómo fue algo un poco improvisado de un día para otro, no pudimos hacer la decoración que hubiéramos hecho con más tiempo de organización, pero pusimos un detallito en la mesa para darle el toque de cumpleaños. El bebé apenas lo vio dijo: "una fiesta de cumpleaños".
Para almorzar hicimos un rico pasticho y la torta que preparé fue un ponquecito de limón, decorado con nevazucar. Pasamos un rato muy agradable y sentí de cierta forma que empezaba a entrar nuevamente en mi "normalidad" y que dejaba atrás esos días de Covid, aunque aún tengo que hacer algunos chequeos médicos de seguimiento.
It was a very special afternoon, I have a lot of appreciation for my child's godfather who have been exceptional friends to me. While I was sick they helped me with many things, even washing my clothes and they did not mind coming home at the risk of catching the disease, so I wanted to have a gesture of recognition for that special friendship. They are undoubtedly two little angels that God put in my path and are now part of my family.
As it was something improvised from one day to the next, we could not make the decoration that we would have done with more time to organize it, but we put a little detail on the table to give it the birthday touch. As soon as the baby saw it, he said: "a birthday party".
For lunch we made a delicious pasticho and the cake I prepared was a lemon cake, decorated with sugar. We had a very nice time and I felt in a way that I was starting to get back to my "normality" and leaving those Covid days behind, although I still have some follow-up medical check-ups to do.
Tuvimos oportunidad de brindar por la vida. Siento que cada día que tenemos la bendición de respirar es de por sí una bendición para celebrar en grande, sé que a veces podemos tener días difíciles, transitar duras pruebas, pero si por sobre todo eso tenemos una actitud de gratitud, fe y optimismo tendremos mayor valor y fortaleza para seguir adelante.
Aprovecho de invitarte a reconocer el valor de todas esas personas que forman parte de tu entorno, apreciar su presencia en tu vida y hacerles saber cuánto los aprecias, porque en ocasiones dejamos pasar este tipo de oportunidades y son muy importantes para expresar nuestra gratitud y fortalecer esos lazos o vínculos familiares, de amistad, entre otros.
