Last Saturday my good friend Jean invited us to the mountain known as the Hatillo Volcano, this hill is located at 1,490 meters above sea level and it is not really a volcano, but the myths say that it is and that is why it has this name.
One of the activities that I am most passionate about outdoors is hiking and El Volcan is a good place to resume hiking for a long time I did not practice it, I love the contact with nature, that's why more than 6 years ago I bought a land in this mountainous municipality of Hatillo which is where we will build our GREEN HOME in this beautiful place full of pure GREEN LIFE.
So Jean's invitation, he encouraged us to go to the Volcano, it was something we had been waiting for since we moved here, but we needed a guide who knew the mountain.
The Hatillo Volcano has been used for several years as a motocross and mountain biking track, but since the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic in 2020 it has become a more active route for hikers and even for family outings on the weekends.
This first adventure started with little preparation but with a lot of desire which is what is really important, the most animated was the light of my eyes, she and her mom @constgaladriel were always ahead, between excitement and lots of laughter every step was full of excitement to discover this new world full of nature.
She filled us with energy to get strength on the road, she has the gift of infecting everyone with her river of joy with which we managed to reach the middle of the route.
Although we were not in the best physical condition to reach the middle of the road, for me it is satisfactory, we knew we would not reach the top of the mountain, because we started the ascent very late at almost 4:30 pm, so we started the descent as dusk began to fall.
The vegetation of the Volcano is that of a beautiful tropical forest that with the excessive use as a motocross track suffered damage and in the attempt to provide people who do not know the importance of maintaining the original vegetation of each natural area, planted pines in part of the route, something is affected has affected species such as sloths also known as sloths among other animals.
From El Volcán del Hatillo you can see the residential area of La Trinidad, but the view of the city from there is not as impressive as from Cerro El Avila. At least not as far as we got, maybe when I get to the top I'll be able to get a better view.
This adventure will be repeated soon and we are back on the road to adventure.

El sábado pasado mi buen amigo Jean nos invito a la montaña conocida como el Volcán del Hatillo,este cerro se encuentra a 1.490 msnm y no es realmente un Volcán, pero los mitos dicen que lo es y por eso lleva este nombre.
Una de las actividades que más me apasionan al aire libre es el senderismo y El Volcán es un buen lugar para retomar el senderismo desde hace mucho no lo practicaba,yo amo el contacto con la naturaleza, por eso hace ya mas de 6 años compre un terreno en este municipio montañoso del Hatillo que es donde construiremos nuestro HOGAR VERDE en este lugar hermoso lleno de pura VIDA VERDE.
Así que la invitación de Jean, nos cayo super bien, el nos animo a ir al Volcán, era algo que teníamos pendiente desde que nos mudamos aquí, pero nos hacía falta un guía que conociera la montaña.
El Volcán del Hatillo desde hace varios años empezó a ser utilizado por como pista de motocross y ciclismo de montaña, desde el inicio de la pandemia del covid-19 en el 2020 se convirtio en una ruta más activa para aquellos para los senderistas e incluso como paseos en familia los fines de semana.
Está primera aventura la iniciamos con poca preparación pero con muchas ganas que es lo realmente importante, la más animada fue la luz de mis ojos, ella y su mama @constgaladriel siempre estuvieron a la delantera, entre emoción y muchas risas cada paso estaba lleno de emoción por descubrir este nuevo mundo lleno de naturaleza.
Ella nos lleno de energía para sacar fuerzas en el camino, tiene ese don de contagia a todos con su río de alegría con el que logramos llegar a la mitad de la ruta.
Aunque no estábamos en las mejore condiciones físicas lograr llegar a un punto medio del camino,para mi es satisfactorio, sabíamos que no llegaríamos hasta la cima de la montaña, pues el ascenso lo iniciamos muy tarde casi a las 4:30 pm, por lo que iniciamos el descenso a lo que empezó a caer el atardecer.
La vegetación del Volcan es la de un hermoso bosque tropical que con el uso excesivo como pista de motocross sufrio daños y en el intento de aportar personas que desconocen de la importancia de mantener la vegetación original de cada espacio natural, sembraron pinos en parte de la ruta, algo está afectado ha especies como las perezas también conocidos como osos perezosos entre otros animales.
Desde El Volcán del Hatillo se ve la zona residencial de la Trinidad, pero realmente no es tan impresionante la vista desde allí de la ciudad como desde el Cerro El Avila. Al menos no hasta el punto que llegamos, quizás al llegar a la cima podré tener una mejor vista.
