Just yesterday, my wife went to market to buy some dried fish which I used to prepare pepper soup. Have you tasted it before? I'm just asking, because I knew that most of you might have tasted it and indeed know how it tastes. The fact remains that the taste is always different from the Chef to Chef and so, mine may look very much delicious more than the one you have tasted.

I did not stop there but went further to prepare rice which i also fried stew alongside. To be sincere, you should also know how stew taste but also differs sometimes and which depends on either the ingredients used or the sauce used. Some people may decide to use meat, some fish while some egg. We also have egg stew, if you don't know.

Here we go...
Ingredients used for the pepper soup are as follows:

  • pepper

After placing the pot with some quantity of water on heat, pour in the pepper and allowed to boil for some minutes.

  • Put Maggi:

After pouring in the Maggi, then allow to boil for like 1 minute.

  • Put salt:

The salt poured must be to your taste. Some people prefer little salt while some prefer much salt. So, the choice is yours.

  • Put the fish or meat.

Some people love using meat with the addition of dried fish while some will use only fresh fish to prepare the soup.

  • Little potassium: We normally call it kaun. It must not be too much or else, the soup will look dark.

There some other ingredients which wee normally use for pepper soup, but I was not able to use those ingredients just because of the type of soup I want to eat. Those spices will bring in another fine aroma into the pepper soup.

Allow to boil for some minutes and then, it's done.

Do you know what? I'm from Delta and we love taking starch a lot. Now, this pepper soup will be eaten with starch.

Procedures for preparing the starch

Prepare your put ready, although, we put is not preferable, but can be use as alternative.

Use your hand to stir the starch until there is no particle left.

After then, pour the stirred starch into the pot, then pour in a little palm oil to make it yellow when it is done.

Keep on with the stirring until it is finally strong a bit.

Do not be worried, but still allow to get yellow the more.

Then drop the pot and pour the starch inside a plate.

Wow... It's time to eat.

This was made in the morning, but towards the evening, I decided to make again stew which we use to eat rice.
I used the following:

  • Vegetable oil
  • sachet tomato (sachets)

Pour the tomato inside plate

Then mix it with the pepper provided

Stir very well

The stirring will allow proper mixing of the tomato and pepper.

  • pepper (grinded)
  • Maggie
  • Curry
  • salt
  • and then dried fish.

When I was done preparing the stew, then I prepared rice alongside.
I'm so sorry, I forgot to take the photographs of the stew and rice.

Just this morning my wife woke up so early to prepare starch and also prepared Banga soup with fresh fish. A boy always bring fish for us to buy as early as possible. So, she immediately prepared the soup as we have palm fruits in the house which she bought two days ago.

Most of you may be surprised on why I always cook when my wife is around. To me, I always have time during.the weekend and.so, I love to prepare food for my family during this period. Weekdays, she always there to do her jobs and besides, I don't like stressing my wife. Sometimes during the weeks days, I do cook allowing her to relax.

This is because I LOVE MY WIFE
