I see so many new players on Telegram ask what the benefit of a guild and why be in one, or even still build one yourself? Being in a guild is great because you have all like mind players together in one group and most cases, you would know some or most of these people. The most asked question though is why be in a guild apart from being with people you know, there are actually some great benefits and will be listed below. Building a guild from scratch was way cheaper a few months ago before DEC became x7 but even with the price of setting up the guild, building it up, longer term guild members will benefit from it from every day playing.
As you can see from the chart above, you get all sorts of nice bonuses depending what level your guild is built to. From a minimum DEC bonus of 1% to 20% is certainly very attractive if you keep on leveling up your guild. Not to say, you can get more users in the guild to benefit these bonus. Other than DEC bonus, you do get a discount from the shop. The shop discount starts at level 3 with the maximum discount of 10% for some items (not card packs if you are wondering). Don't look down on these small figures, every little bit counts and if you are playing every day, these little amounts add up to something nice in the end. With the SPS airdrop, every DEC in your wallet means more airdrop points, nobody can complain about that!
Now that Brawls is up and running, there are more ways to have fun on Splinterlands. There are crowns you can earn as a guild when you all participate in a brawl, fighting against other teams. As my guild barracks and shop isn't activated yet, we haven't been able to use anything until it is levelled up. But what I have seen is there are some goodies you can purchase in the shop like cards. You may have noticed now, there is a new edition under "cards" called Gladius. As I don't have any of the cards, I was still able to see what is available and it is quite interesting. My understanding is you can use these special cards in your batted under brawl which makes the game extra interesting.
I see so many new users who wants to join a guild and my best advice is to get your ratings up, play daily and willing to contribute to your guild. Guilds are an asset for long term players and each place is very valuable considering there are so many great benefits to be in one. I'm grateful my guild is currently has a level 6 hall meaning we get some nice % DEC bonus for each winning game. If you haven't joined a guild, try to find one so you can get some extra rewards and discounts and most importantly, can have a go playing brawl which is super fun!
