A Season of Airdrops - I Guess

I love airdrops, you love airdrops, we all love airdrops. We all like to gather free assets and make quick profits. Having said that, airdrops are never to benefit users but is planned and staged to benefit project managing airdrops.

How you you receive your airdrops? Typically, it depends on if you have been exposed to a protocol, a platform, and/or any other services related to a project. That sounds logical as airdrops are designed to provide rewards to early adopters. Remember Uniswap? or 1Inch tokens?

The Uniswap airdrop made quite a wave among crypto users. The rewards were compared to, and is still being compared, the covid benefit distributed by governments across the globe. I cannot forget the coincidence where users were rewarded with fiat and crypto benefits at the same time.

That is one way of distributing airdrops. How would you benefit users and attract users' attention if you do not have a working platform or a protocol?

You SPAM :)

Take a look at this email I received asking me to claim the Thetan Arena airdrop at coinmarketcap. I have no idea about the project and have not heard about the token. I peeped into the email because it's free money. But, I laughed and raged once I realize what I should be doing to be eligible of the said airdrop.

As per the email, there are 19 steps to be completed to be eligible for the airdrop. Users are not guaranteed to receive the airdrop even after those 19 steps as the tokens will be distributed by a lukcy draw.

Don't just be happy about any airdrop. It is fun to claim free money but the length these projects go to create a user-base is clumsy and interesting at the same time.
