Microsoft research department, collaborated with researchers from Alibaba and Carnegie Mellon University, to research on the topic “Argus: A Fully Transparent Incentive System for Anti-Piracy Campaigns” in a bid to create anti-piracy measures. Argus is built on the Ethereum blockchain which provides trustless incentives to piracy reporters while protecting their privacy. The research paper expressively explained how Argus fights piracy.
