The last HivePUD of 2020: in a week from today

Thanks to @doze for the Thunder Hive on which this graphic is built

November is just about done. In two days my friends in the US will be celebrating Thanksgiving. It's been the kind of year when, perhaps, it's hard to give thanks. Many in my friendship circle have had really, really tough times. I admit, that this year that began on such a positive note, just seemed to spiral in one direction. That said, there is much for which to be grateful.

Anyhow, I am digressing. As usual. The point, however, is that Hive Power Up Day is approaching. Rapidly.

To refresh your memory about what it is, and how it works, here's the link to @traciyork's announcement post.

My continuing contribution to #HivePUD and #HPUD

I have, for the past few months, delegated Hive to little fish that participate and there will be another 300HP delegation this month. When I announced the November delegations, and because only one account met the criteria which are -

  1. less than 6 months old
  2. less than 59 rep
  3. less than 200 HP before powering up on 1 November 2020
  4. must have at least two qualifying posts since 1 October 2020.
Posts that qualify must have 200 words or more and exclude posts for Power Up Day, and Actifit.

As a reminder, the reason I added the fourth criterion is because Hive is a social blockchain: it's for socialising, ruminating and just generally hanging out. I do my best to connect with the people behind the accounts that will be getting one of my 100% upvotes (daily - if you post that often). And, if I'm around - I have 3D commitments (like sleep and being a people and processing apricots) that take me offline - a lot - a read and perhaps a comment and reblog.

It's not entirely my decision

As I keep on saying, the accounts are chosen in consultation with @traciyork and this month, I thought long and hard about what to do, and it didn't "jive" for me to delegate to accounts, just because I had to delegate. So, and because I'm boringly consistent, this what I said in answer to the question -

And what about the other 200HP?

I have delegated 200 HP to @curie because I know that it will be used to support under-recognised accounts and quality content on the Hive blockchain.

I went on to say

In the coming months, and if no accounts meet the criteria, the equivalent delegation will be allocated to @curie and/or another general curation initiative to support the work they do supporting quality content on the blockchain.

December

If, again, we cannot find three accounts to which I can delegate, the curation initiative that will receive the HP for the month is @curangel whose band of curators does super work all over the blockchain.

Lastly

Because I am still having too many rainy days, I'm keeping my HBD liquid. But, and I've been fortunate to win some liquid HP by participating in a couple of contests, I'll still most definitely be seeing you on 1 December when I power up!

Until next time, be well

And then there's more:

  • If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:
    • re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I plan to add them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
    • and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts because of this.
  • If you’re interested in a soft entry into the world of crypto currency and monetising your self-hosted WordPress blog, use the fantastic plugin to post directly to the Hive blockchain. Click on the image below to sign up -
