La hiperinflación a sido de las más difíciles jamás documentadas, y al parecer se ha vuelto una costumbre. Ya es tan normal, que los venezolanos esperan dos veces al día: 9 am y 1 pm, el “ajuste” del precio del Bolívar (moneda nacional) con respecto al dólar estadounidense, a través de cientos de páginas, cuentas en Twitter, Instagram e incluso aplicaciones, que se han creado solo para este fin y que nadie sabe quiénes estén detrás de su manejo y como llegan al cálculo de los precios.
Hyperinflation has been one of the most difficult ever documented, and it seems it has become a habit. Todo esto a colaborado a una dolarización de facto, todos tratando de huir de la escalada de precios, anclando al dólar para no perder dinero, pero esto también se esta viendo afectado ya que muchos expertos señalan que el dólar también esta siendo devaluado, y con razón, porque está presente en toda actividad económica, como el pago de servicios, el comercio tanto formal como informal, e incluso la cancelación de salarios.
All this has contributed to a de facto dollarization, all the people trying to flee from the price escalation, anchoring the dollar to avoid losing money, but this is also being affected since many experts point out that the dollar is also being devalued, and with good reason, because it's present in all economic activity, such as the payment of services, both formal and informal trade, and even the cancellation of wages.
Aunque no es oficial, el actual gobierno a promulgado el uso de mecanismos de una economía dolarizada, por ejemplo, la apertura de cuentas en dólares en la banca nacional, que permita a personas naturales y jurídicas hacer operaciones en USD, acción que es señalada por expertos como necesaria ante la escases de la moneda norteamericana, lo que persigue poder realizar operaciones electrónicas que den mayor fluidez al comercio.
Although it is not official, the current government has promulgated the use of mechanisms of a dollarized economy, for example, the opening of accounts in dollars in the national bank, which allows natural and legal persons to carry out operations in USD, an action that is indicated by experts as necessary given the scarcity of the North American currency, which seeks to be able to carry out electronic operations that give greater fluidity to trade.
Las criptomonedas como alternativa salarial | Cryptocurrencies as a salary alternative
Pero existen otras alternativas al uso del dólar estadounidense, y una de ellas son las criptomonedas, que con este fin se han creado, para un comercio o un intercambio económico mas directo entre personas, superando los obstáculos del dinero fiduciario, uno de ellos, las transacciones electrónicas.

Esta aseveración esta basa en el ultimo estudio realizado por la empresa de análisis blockchain Chainalysis, ellos mismos señalan en su informe para el año 2020 lo siguiente:
“El país ha alcanzado una de las tasas más altas de uso de criptomonedas en el mundo, ocupando el tercer lugar en nuestro Índice de Adopción Global de Criptomonedas, ya que muchos venezolanos confían en ellas para recibir remesas del extranjero y preservar sus ahorros contra la hiperinflación.”
The reality is that cryptocurrencies are nothing new in Venezuela, in fact, over the years their adoption has greatly increased among its population. This assertion is based on the latest study carried out by the blockchain analysis company Chainalysis, they themselves point out in their report for 2020 the following:
“The country has reached one of the highest rates of use of cryptocurrencies in the world, ranking third in our Index of Global Adoption of Cryptocurrencies, since many Venezuelans trust them to receive remittances from abroad and preserve their savings against hyperinflation. ”
Pero pese a estos datos, muchas personas en el país desconocen el funcionamiento de los sistemas de pago con criptomonedas, principalmente por la complejidad de los procesos que suelen acompañarlas, lo que ha impedido o quizás cohibido a muchas instituciones y empresas, no adoptar esta medida como método de pago para sus trabajadores, como alternativa al pago en divisa.

Pero este no es el único problema, existe un desafío basado en la normativa del Banco Central de Venezuela, el cual es quien señala cuando un activo reúne las características para ser tratado como moneda. Si este ente no reconoce a un activo como tal, las instituciones del país legalmente no pueden realizar operaciones con una criptomoneda.
But this is not the only problem, there is an obstacle based on the regulations of the Central Bank of Venezuela, which is the one who signals when an asset meets the characteristics to be treated as currency. If this entity does not recognize an asset as such, the country's institutions cannot legally carry out operations with a cryptocurrency.
Todo esto resulta contradictorio con una de las principales características de las criptomonedas, la descentralización, ya que estas no dependen de un ente regulador para ser utilizadas por la población, y hasta que este obstáculo no sea superado, las instituciones no se animaran a utilizarlo como medio de pago a sus trabajadores.
All this is contradictory to one of the main characteristics of cryptocurrencies, decentralization, since they don't depend on a regulatory entity to be used by the population, and until this obstacle is overcome, institutions aren't encouraged to use it as means of payment to its workers.
