Ace's Friday Hopium Post. The Case for an Era of Abundance on Hive

The first time I heard of this narrative regarding the competition for rewards rising exponentially among Hive users, was back in 2019 I guess. It was @exyle who brought it under my attention and same as @axiemoron1, they're both wrong. Time will prove that.

Let me tell you why...

Hive is definitely a blockchain that is gaining traction and it's probably no doubt anymore that @splinterlands brought a ton of new users and there will be for sure many other games and apps that will replicate that. We're talking of a blockchain with a history of one year and half. We're still early.

Hive was born out of a huge frustration and disgrace towards Justin Sun. All that energy is going to be redirected now into development on this blockchain.

The reasoning of both @exyle and @axiemoron1 is that the more users will flood the blockchain, the higher the competition will become for rewards and it will get harder to earn HIVE tokens. It doesn't work like that anymore as Hive is no longer a one layer blockchain.

We have tribes/communities and each tribe has its curators, in most of the cases each tribe having its own Hive second layer token, thus the more users this blockchain will have the more projects will be build on it, new tokens created and the ability of earning will grow exponentially.

When we only had one token that content creators and curators would collect for their activities, opportunities were a bit limited, that's true, but now... man we're in the early stages of an era of abundance.

Think about one thing: if you post through Leofinance and get curated by a bunch of users you will be able to collect up to three tokens, if smart enough to use the POB tag. That translating to LEO, HIVE and POB with just one post. When the SPK Network will be out and the SPK token will be launched, one vlogger will be able to earn up to four different tokens with one post.

Once communities have been created and the economies around them, that I've pointed out above, this supposed competition has been drastically reduced. Even the trending page looks a bit better and more organic. There are new users who earn almost the same as OGs when it comes to content creation, I've seen quite a few examples as such.

There's a catch to earning decent rewards on Hive though and that's engagement. Hive is a social media blockchain, to some extent, and interaction is highly valuable. I've learned that on my own skin, the hard way...

As a conclusion: I don't agree with @axiemoron1 and neither have I agreed with @exyle a few years ago on the narrative of exponential competition on rewards on Hive.

There's no competition at all, that's a misperception imo. There's enough for everyone and as "that enough" will increases in value on the market we're gonna enter an era of abundance on Hive. Credits to @taskmaster4450 for that concept.

Have a great weekend everyone! @axiemoron1 and @exyle, don't take it personally, I have nothing against you guys, just felt like commenting your views, although the statements of the two of you are separated by a two years time span. Do what you do best and Hive on!

Thanks for attention,
Adrian
