Un gran grupo de personas arriesgarán todo cuando participen en juegos mortales... "Squid Game"
Pudiera comenzar diciendo que he visto pocas producciones asiáticas, pero eso no es del todo cierto, de niño he visto muchas películas de artes marciales y ahora de adulto he visto excelentes films, más que nada de acción y terror, provenientes de ese continente, he visto buenas actuaciones, buenos directores y muy buenas historias y hace poco, gracias a Netflix, existen un gran número de posibilidades, buenas historias que han sorprendido a muchos, esto me ha sucedido con "Kingdom" y ahora con esta nueva serie recién estrenada en esta plataforma de streaming.

I could start by saying that I have seen few Asian productions, but that is not entirely true, as a child I have seen many martial arts films and now as an adult I have seen excellent films, mostly action and horror, coming from that continent, I have seen good performances, good directors and very good stories and recently, thanks to Netflix, there are a large number of possibilities, good stories that have surprised many, this has happened to me with "Kingdom" and now with this new series just released on this streaming platform.
"Squid Game" también conocida como "El Juego del Calamar" veremos la historia de un grupo de personas que tienen una vida desdichada a causa de malas decisiones que han tomado, personas que tienen pocas esperanzas de poder conseguir algo que los salve de sus problemas, pero con la aparición de una invitación a participar en unos juegos, ellos podrán haber encontrado lo que necesitan para comenzar una nueva vida porque si ganan podrán ser ganadores de millones de dólares, pero si pierden podrán perder su vida, es entonces cuando deberán aceptar un a simple y mortal condición para poder jugar sin importar en que deban transformarse para poder ganar.
"Squid Game" we will see the story of a group of people who have an unhappy life because of bad decisions they have made, people who have little hope of getting something to save them from their problems, but with the appearance of an invitation to participate in some games, They may have found what they need to start a new life because if they win they could be winners of millions of dollars, but if they lose they could lose their lives, it is then when they must accept a simple and deadly condition to be able to play no matter what they must become in order to win.
No puedo decir que está era una de las series que más quería ver en este año, ya que supe de esta historia gracias a las (pocas) promociones hechas en las redes sociales y a pesar de que Netflix ha estrenado un gran número de K-Dramas no he visto muchas de estas series, como dije antes solo he visto Kingdom que me gusta mucho, pero a pesar de no tener grandes expectativas, igual tenía fe de que está serie no me defraudaría, eso por qué su sinopsis se prestaba para tener una historia en dónde se explora una versión de la humanidad de la cual estoy seguro de que nadie le gustaría experimentar; otra de las cosas que me llamó la atención era a lo parecido a la película japonesa "Battle Royale" (2000) y según a otro que hasta parece que puede haber un problema legal por el gran parecido que tiene esta serie al film japonés estrenado en el 2014 llamado "As the Gods Will"; justamente ambas historias citadas son de un grupo de personas que deben sobrevivir como sea a uno o varios juegos retorcidos en dónde la muerte es el castigo para el derrotado, estás historias de sobrevivientes cuando son bien hechas, son de lo mejor porque ponen a prueba o crean la pregunta sobre que seríamos capaces de hacer para mantenernos con vida.
I can't say that this was one of the series I most wanted to see this year, since I knew about this story thanks to the (few) promotions made on social networks and although Netflix has released a large number of K-Dramas I haven't seen many of these series, as I said before I have only seen Kingdom which I really like, but despite not having high expectations, I still had faith that this series would not disappoint me, that's because its synopsis lent itself to have a story where a version of humanity is explored which I'm sure no one would like to experience; another thing that caught my attention was the resemblance to the Japanese movie "Battle Royale" (2000) and according to another that even seems that there may be a legal problem because of the great resemblance that this series has to the Japanese film released in 2014 called "As the Gods Will"; precisely both stories are about a group of people who must survive one or more twisted games where death is the punishment for the defeated, these stories of survivors when they are well done, are the best because they test or create the question about what we would be able to do to stay alive.
En diferentes “Reality Shows” basados en diferentes juegos de eliminación que se pueden ver en la programación televisiva, siempre podemos encontrar a personajes buenos o malos (dependiendo de su comportamiento) de los cuales podemos identificarnos, sean por sus motivos o por su desempeño al competir, ese competidor se convertirá en el favorito, pero creo que en este tipo de concursos es obligatorio el ver a justamente los favoritos, el que todos quieren ver ganar, la sorpresa, el débil, el inocente y por supuesto el malo, todo este tipo de personajes están representados en esta serie, por un buen momento podemos identificar a cada uno, pero las ganas de sobrevivir será el factor para que haya un cambio en cada uno de ellos y ver la verdad de quienes son cuando se acerca el final.
In different "Reality Shows" based on different elimination games that can be seen in television programming, we can always find good or bad characters (depending on their behavior) of which we can identify, either by their motives or by their performance when competing, that competitor will become the favorite, but I think that in this type of contests it is mandatory to see just the favorites, the one that everyone wants to see win, the surprise, the weak, the innocent and of course the bad guy, all these types of characters are represented in this series, for a good moment we can identify each one, but the desire to survive will be the factor for there to be a change in each one of them and see the truth of who they are when the end is near.
Una de las cosas que me ha gustado de esta historia es que tenga el tiempo de desarrollarse; el que sea una serie en vez de una película es un punto positivo aunque para ser sincero si fueran realizado un largometraje también fuera servido, pero como dije antes que sea una historia que muestre la vida de algunos de sus concursantes y de porque están en el juego y con esto no buscan justificar las acciones que cometen en el juego, sino que demuestran problemas reales que pueden pasar a cualquiera y creo que lo que vemos en esta historia es algo muy real, hasta el momento de que aparezca un extraño ofreciendo una salvación monetaria para solventar toda una vida llena de fallos, seguramente habrá gente que aceptará las condiciones solamente porque te da la posibilidad de ganar "dinero fácil". Squid Game es una historia muy bien escrita, una historia cruel, llena de drama y de situaciones reales, de historias de personas que han sufrido y que deberán sufrir más para poder obtener el dinero que solventara sus vidas, es una historia dura que demuestra lo que son capaces personas para poder tener lo que nunca han tenido sin importar que podrán perder lo más preciado, sus vidas; si no han visto esta serie, les recomiendo que la vean, no es para nada predecible y creo que hay muchas cosas más por explorar, disfruten de los 9 episodios llenos de suspenso, acción, terror y crueldad, disfruten de buenos personajes y de esta buena historia que considero una de las mejores del año.
One of the things I liked about this story is that it has the time to develop; The fact that it is a series instead of a movie is a positive point although to be honest if they were made as a feature film it would also be good, but as I said before it is a story that shows the life of some of the contestants and why they are in the game and with this they do not try to justify the actions they commit in the game, but they show real problems that can happen to anyone and I think that what we see in this story is something very real, until the moment that a stranger appears offering a monetary salvation to solve a life full of failures, surely there will be people who will accept the conditions only because it gives you the chance to win "easy money". Squid Game is a very well written story, It is a cruel story, full of drama and real situations, stories of people who have suffered and will have to suffer more in order to obtain the money that will solve their lives, it is a hard story that shows what people are capable of in order to have what they have never had without caring that they could lose the most precious thing, their lives; if you have not seen this series, I recommend you to watch it, it is not at all predictable and I think there are many more things to explore, enjoy the 9 episodes full of suspense, action, terror and cruelty, enjoy good characters and this good story that I consider one of the best of the year.
