Bien, sabemos que los tiburones no son lo que nos muestran en la gran pantalla ¿cierto? Bien, quería ver si estábamos en sintonía. Esta "moda" cinematográfica tiene más de cuatro décadas siendo "moda" así que, ¿que tan pasajera iba a ser? ¿quién inició todo esto? Las peores películas, y las que son tan malas que son buenas. De todo esto vamos a hablar en este post.

Pues si amigos así como lo leen, en el año 1975 un joven director de tan solo 26 años daría vida a uno de los géneros de cine más explotados, y también de los que se han vuelto más viciosos. Fue en este año que quizás sin saber Steven marcó una de los tantos puntos increíbles en la historia del cine con su película "Jaws"
Que por supuesto, viéndola desde esta época podemos decir: "qué mala película". Pero amigos, les hablo de una película estrenada hace más de 46 años, hace cuatro décadas de la misma, fecha en la que obviamente no teníamos la misma tecnología de hoy en día y sin embargo se obtuvo el resultado bastante decente a mi parecer. Además que la película tuvo un presupuesto de 9 millones de dolares y obtuvo un margen de ganancia de aproximadamente ¡casi 500 millones de dólares!

Spielberg ha cultivado éxitos tras éxitos y nada ha sido en vano, desde su fanatismo con los tiburones y los seres de otros planetas, todo ha creado una cultura de cine increíble, podemos decir que sí, de no haberlo hecho él, lo hubiese hecho algún otro director, ¿pero lo hubiese hecho tan bien como Spielberg? No lo creo.

Esta "moda" por "las película malas de tiburones" dio la vuelta al mundo, llegando a unos directores italianos en el año 81, película que tuvo un gran éxito en taquilla alrededor del mundo, "L’ultimo squalo" mantenía una trama bastante parecida a "Jaws" de 1975, era tan parecida que llegó a tribunales el caso para pelear por la película, finalmente fue retirada y los directores perdieron el caso. Quedando en la historia como "Jaws 3" de una forma ilegal y misteriosa.

Vinieron muchos grandes éxitos -legales- a través de los años, entre esos tenemos a "Deep blue sea" del año 1999, "Open water" del año 2003, incluso llegó a la animación con Dreamworks y su película animada "Shark Tale" del año 2004 que fue un intento de alejar la mala idea que se había cultivado sobre los tiburones y darle un giro totalmente diferente, animado, divertido y con un mensaje profundo, esta película es una de mis favoritas.
It came many great successes -legal- through the years, among those we have "Deep blue sea" from 1999, "Open water" from 2003, even came to animation with Dreamworks and their animated film "Shark Tale" from 2004 which was an attempt to move away from the bad idea that had been cultivated about sharks and give it a totally different twist, animated, funny and with a deep message, this film is one of my favorites.

Un caos, es lo que ha sucedido desde entonces.
Pero para no sonar tan crítica -con malas vibras- puedo decir que se ha redireccionado a otra perspectiva distinta. Lo que empezó en el año 75 con una película inspirada en una novela, siguiendo por otros éxitos tratados de forma seria y coherente, hoy en día queda muy poco de eso.
Hoy tenemos desde tiburones que viven en la profundidades de la arena, voladores, mutantes, mitad robots, y demasiadas cosas más que ya no sé... El humor, la parodia y el bajo presupuesto sigue siendo irresistible para el público fanático de este género cinematográfico, quizás por eso ahora se determinan como "malas películas de tiburones".

But in order not to sound so critical -with bad vibes- I can say that it has been redirected to a different perspective. What started in '75 with a movie inspired by a novel, followed by other hits treated in a serious and coherent way, today there is very little of that left.
Today we have sharks that live in the depths of the sand, flying, mutants, half robots, and too many other things that I don't know anymore... The humor, the parody and the low budget is still irresistible for the fan public of this film genre, maybe that's why they are now determined as "bad shark movies".

¿Spielberg estará orgulloso de lo que ha creado? | Is Spielberg proud of what he has created?
No lo sé, y la verdad me quiero hacer la idea de que de verdad no se lo toma en serio, porque estas películas no son para tomarse en serio amigos, es simple y barato entretenimiento, en el que muchos directores de categoría se han involucrado por hacer algo totalmente descabellado y sin sentido, quizás ya haya muerto este género y simplemente nos quede el recuerdo, pero nunca podremos olvidar todo lo que causó una película del año 1975 en toda esa generación y las siguientes, existe club de fans de este genero, un canal celebra la semana del tiburón, creo que tienen sus propias premiaciones, y así demasiado cosas han sucedido a raíz de eso.
Debo admitir que sí, soy de las que ha visto algunas cuantas, pero debo admitir que es realmente divertido criticarlas, reírme de las cosas absurdas y definitivamente perder hora y media de mi vida viendo algo que sé que no me va a dejar ningún tipo de aprendizaje más que todas las playas de EEUU están llenas de tiburones -sarcasmo-.
I don't know, and the truth is that I want to get the idea that they really take it seriously, because these movies are not to be taken seriously friends, it is simple and cheap entertainment, in which many directors of category have been involved for doing something totally crazy and senseless, maybe this genre is already dead and we are just left with the memory, but we can never forget everything that a movie from 1975 caused in all that generation and the following ones, there is a fan club of this genre, a channel celebrates the shark week, I think they have their own awards, and so too many things have happened because of that.
I must admit that yes, I am one of those who have seen a few, but I must admit that it is really fun to criticize them, laugh at the absurdities and definitely waste an hour and a half of my life watching something that I know is not going to leave me with any kind of learning other than that all the beaches in the USA are full of sharks -sarcasm-.
