The trailer hit the Internet a day earlier than I heard from one of the YT users I subscribe to (it was supposed to be on Friday). It does not matter at all, but I am marking it out of a sense of duty. Three basic conclusions: 1- it will be a fucking awesome space show with ambitions to be a good space opera like the anime "Legend of the Galactic Heroes" and epic like in "Lord of the Rings". The director will take care of it, and after two trailers, I have the impression that I will not be disappointed. 2 - show many effective or important scenes to attract as many viewers as possible (this type of productions do not sell very well and a high budget means less chance of return and potential profit). 3 - I've finally realized what it is about people who sometimes complain that a movie or its trailer is overloaded with content rather than being limited to the best scenes or ideas. This trailer could easily be shorter by at least a minute and would only benefit from it. I know that "Dune" is definitely not intended for the typical Kowalski, Karen or John, who do not like more serious sci-fi literature, but if you change the narrative and shorten it by a minute, as well as change a few scenes, it would only be this gained.
Apart from this complaint, I am pleased with the atmosphere that emanates from this film. Epic cinema, as in David Lynch's vision, but with much better battle scenes, fights. The actors are also more suited to their book counterparts, in my opinion, although the Baron's vision does not match what I imagined him as reading a book, playing games or watching an old adaptation. I am pleased with some subtle references to that painting, because I believe that, contrary to the criticism of many people, it accurately reflected the "core" of Frank Herbert's prose, at least within this volume, because I do not know the entire book series.
Besides, IMO is flawless, although I will admit that I also miss Patrick Stewart in the role of Gurney Halleck. Well, but Josh Brolin changed him, I think Thanos is a worthy replacement. I know Zendaya from "Euphoria" and "SpiderMan", so I know she's a good actress. Prince Leto is as I imagined him.
When it comes to music, I hope that the creators of the soundtrack will get a little bit of inspiration from what was recorded for Lynch's work and games from Westwood studio. As for the former, you can also feel some inspiration from the old adaptation in this case. The track in the background in the second half of the trailer reminds me of the atmosphere created by the band Toto.
Some people accuse this trailer of making the book's sense shallow, but in my opinion these are not justified accusations. The director is a good creator who made great "Arrival" and "Blade Runner 2049". You may have some objections to these films, but certainly not in terms of a meaningful script and an intelligent show. True, it will not be a faithful adaptation, but you have to accept this fact once and for all - these types of films do not sell. Both in the past and now. Yes, it's partly due to the ignorance of the people and the eating of junk food movies like Marvel or action movies like Fast and Furious, but we have no control over that. There are too few people like you, me, him, those ladies, for such a high-budget cinema to earn money, so you have to bet a bit more on action and effective pif-puff, because people buy, not some philosophies.

Nie ma to co prawda żadnego znaczenia, ale zaznaczam z poczucia obowiązku. Trzy podstawowe wnioski: 1 - to będzie kurewsko niesamowite, kosmiczne show z ambicjami na bycie dobrą space operą, jak anime "Legend of the Galactic Heroes" i epickością, jak w "Lord of the Rings". Reżyser o to zadba, a po dwóch trailerach mam wrażenie, że się nie zawiodę. 2 - pokazują wiele efektownych lub ważnych scen, by przyciągnąć jak najwięcej widzów (tego typu produkcje nie sprzedają się zbyt dobrze i wysoki budżet oznacza mniejsze szanse na zwrot i potencjalny zysk). 3 - W końcu zrozumiałem, o co chodzi ludziom, którzy czasem narzekają, że film lub jego zapowiedź, jest przeładowana treścią, zamiast ograniczyć się do najlepszych scen lub pomysłów. Ten trailer mógł być spokojnie krótszy o co najmniej minutę i tylko by na tym zyskał. Ja wiem, że "Dune" zdecydowanie nie jest przeznaczona dla typowego Kowalskiego, Karen, czy Johna, którzy nie lubią poważniejszej literatury sci-fi, ale gdyby zmienić narrację i skrócić go o minutę, jak również zmienić parę scen, to to tylko by tym zyskał.
Pomijając to narzekanie, cieszy mnie klimat jakim emanuje ten film. Epickie kino, jak w wizji Davida Lyncha, ale ze znacznie lepszymi scenami batalistycznymi, walkami. Aktorzy również bardziej pasują do swoich książkowych odpowiedników moim zdaniem, choć wizja Barona nie pasuje mi do tego, jak go sobie wyobrażałem czytając książkę, grając w gry lub oglądając starą adaptację. Cieszą mnie pewne subtelne nawiązania do tamtego obrazu, bo uważam że wbrew krytyce wielu ludzi, dobrze oddał "core" prozy Franka Herberta, przynajmniej w obrębie tego tomu, bo nie znam całej książkowej serii. Poza tym jest IMO bez zarzutów, choć nie będę ukrywał, że brakuje mi również Patricka Stewarta w roli Gurneya Hallecka. No ale zmienił go Josh Brolin, myślę że Thanos jest godnym zastępcą. Zendayę znam z "Euphorii" i "SpiderMan", więc wiem że to dobra aktorka. Książe Leto jest taki, jak go sobie wyobrażałem.
