Today I want to tell you about a black comedy that was just released on the Netflix platform, “The Trip”. It's an entertaining movie with lots of plot twists that keep you glued to the screen.
Todo comienza con una pareja que ha decidido irse de vacaciones a la cabaña familiar, lejos de la ciudad para pasar un fin de semana alejados de sus trabajos sofocantes y de la vida en la ciudad. Ambos esposos trabajan en el mundo de la televisión, Lars es cineasta que termina como director de televisión, lo cual no es su sueño, y Lisa una actriz que tampoco está pasando por un gran momento.
It all starts with a couple who have decided to go on vacation to the family cabin, away from the city to spend a weekend away from their suffocating jobs and life in the city. Both husbands work in the world of television, Lars is a filmmaker who ends up as a television director, which is not his dream, and Lisa an actress who is not going through a great time either.
Pronto nos enteramos de que la pareja no está muy bien, su relación se ha ido deteriorando, las peleas son constantes y no parece que haya mucho amor entre ellos, sumando a que han tenido dificultades económicas. Al llegar a la cabaña después de la primera noche y de la incómoda escena de la cena nos enteramos de los verdaderos propósitos de los protagonistas.
We soon learn that the couple is not very well, their relationship has deteriorated, the fights are constant and there does not seem to be much love between them, adding to the fact that they have had financial difficulties. Upon arriving at the cabin after the first night and the awkward dinner scene, we learn the true intentions of the protagonists.
Cada uno por su cuenta ha planeado matar a su pareja para quedarse con el dinero del seguro y hacerlo pasar por un accidente en el perfecto fin de semana de ensueño que habían preparado, desafortunadamente sus planes no saldrán como ellos los esperaban al sumarse a la serie de eventos unos personajes que cambiarán el enfoque de la trama.

La película es muy divertida, cumple con la parte de la comedia y debo decir que también tiene muchas escenas sangrientas, así que puede parecer algo exagerado si no estabas buscando algo más que reír, en general la historia te atrapa rápido, los giros que se dan durante el fin de semana se van haciendo cada vez más inverosímiles y el final nos deja claro que tu relación puede mejorar con el incentivo correcto.
The movie is a lot of fun, it does the comedy part and I have to say it also has a lot of gory scenes, so it might seem like a bit of an exaggeration if you weren't looking for something other than laugh, overall the story gets you fast, the twists that are Dan over the weekend becomes increasingly unlikely, and the finale makes it clear to us that your relationship can improve with the right incentive.
