Some years ago while I was going through a love disappointment a book came to me, I don't remember how or when it came to my hands but it was there when I needed it the most. With a story that begins with a disappointment in love, written under a poetic pen adorned with songs you can listen to and places you can see just by reading, every page of the book became endearing to me.
Federico Moccia has become success after success the most important contemporary author in Italy, with fresh, romantic and sincere themes that always go places. Since 1992 when he wrote his first novel called Three Steps Above Heaven (Tre Metri Sopra il Cielo) he has not stopped reaping success although he had to wait 12 years to see his success materialize. But in 2007 he would write the novel of which 2 film adaptations have been made and that today brings me to you with a new review: Sorry, if I Love You (Scusa ma ti chiamo amore).
With 2 adaptations to its credit I have not had the opportunity to see the second version, the Spanish one and I come with the first version which was the one I enjoyed after reading the novel some years ago, this adaptation comes from Italy, but I do not tell you more, if you want to know more about this story do not hesitate to continue reading this.

Federico Moccia se ha convertido 茅xito tras 茅xito en el autor contempor谩neo m谩s importante de Italia, con temas frescos, rom谩nticos y sinceros que siempre van a lugar. Desde 1992 cuando escribi贸 su primera novela llamada Tres metros sobre el cielo (Tre Metri Sopra il Cielo) no ha parado de cosechar 茅xitos aunque tuvo que esperar 12 a帽os para ver materializado su 茅xito. It stars Raoul Bova, Michela Quattrociococche, Veronika Logan, Luca Angeletti, Ignazio Oliva, Francesco Apolloni, Davide Rossi, Beatrice Valente, Francesca Ferrazzo, Michelle Carpente and Cecilia Dazzi.

Alessandro(Raoul Bova) has everything in life, he is a very successful publicist, he is serious and very handsome, but his life hits rock bottom when Elena (Veronika Logan), the woman he thought he was going to spend the rest of his life with unexpectedly leaves him after proposing to her. Elena disappears from his life and leaves Alessandro heartbroken, but fate has a surprise in store for him.
Alessandro's friends Enrico (Luca Angeletti), Flavio (Ignazio Oliva) and **Pietro **(Francesco Apolloni) will do everything they can to get Ale out of his depression but he can't even open up to his friends.
But true love will burst like a hurricane into Alessandro's life, when he least expects it. Already almost thirty-seven years old, he is resigned to being a failure in love and that's what he thinks about when he is driving to work in the early morning, when he unexpectedly collides at an intersection with Niki, who is on her motorcycle on her way to the high school where she is taking her baccalaureate.
After that encounter, Ale's drab and sad world is suddenly turned upside down. Niki (Michela Quattrociocche), comes into his life with all her innocent joy and extraordinary family wisdom for a seventeen year old. Alessandro suddenly finds himself driving her to school and Niki is texting him nonstop on his phone. Without realizing it, Niki enters his life, taking with her his bitterness, his most abstract beliefs, his stupid habits and even the sadness of having been abandoned by the woman he aspired to marry.
Niki is naive but at the same time intelligent, mature and above all sensual together with her friends Olly (Beatrice Valente), Erica (Francesca Ferrazzo) and Diletta (Michelle Carpente) make up the waves as they call themselves in high school. Niki has just broken up with her boyfriend Fabio Fobia (Davide Rossi) a cocky rapper who breaks her heart. Niki has no trouble seeing the love of her life in front of her when she meets Alessandro.
Ale has the hardest time accepting him, despite the tenderness, trust, love and the promise of assured happiness are not enough because he has been with Niki for two decades and above all he is a minor. However, Alessandro gives himself a chance with Niki for the simple fact that she has taught him to laugh and to enjoy his life as he had never done before. But everything will be complicated in his work and now he will have to compete with Marcelo, who he later realizes is the one who has stolen Elena, to stay in his job as a publicist in Rome.
Once Marcelo loses to him, Elena returns to her life with regret and Alessandro accepts her, sensibly ending his relationship with Niki. Meanwhile, Niki, once again heartbroken, studies for her final exams and celebrates her eighteenth birthday by taking a cruise to Greece, secretly waiting for her love to return. Alessandro(Raoul Bova) lo tiene todo en la vida es un publicista con mucho 茅xito, es serio y es muy guapo, pero su vida tocara fondo cuando Elena (Veronika Logan), la mujer con quien cre铆a iba a pasar el resto de su vida lo deja inesperadamente despu茅s de proponerle matrimonio. Elena desaparece de su vida y deja a Alessandro con el coraz贸n roto, pero el destino le ten铆a una sorpresa.
Los amigos de Alessandro Enrico (Luca Angeletti), Flavio (Ignazio Oliva) y Pietro (Francesco Apolloni) har谩n todo lo posible para sacar a Ale de su depresi贸n pero este ni siquiera puede abrirse con sus amigos.
Pero el amor verdadero irrumpir谩 como un hurac谩n en la vida de Alessandro, cuando menos se lo espera. Ya casi treinta y siete a帽os esta resignado a ser un fracasado en el amor y en eso piensa cuando va conduciendo hacia el trabajo muy de ma帽ana, cuando inesperadamente choca en un cruce con Niki, que va hacia el instituto donde cursa su selectividad en su moto.
Tras ese encuentro, el mundo mon贸tono y triste de Ale se pone patas a arriba de repente. Niki (Michela Quattrociocche), llega a su vida con toda su alegr铆a inocente y su extraordinaria sabidur铆a familiar para alguien de diecisiete a帽os. Alessandro de repente se ve llev谩ndola al instituto y Niki le escribe sin parar a su tel茅fono. Sin darse cuenta Niki entra en su vida llev谩ndose sus amarguras, sus creencias m谩s abstractas, sus est煤pidas costumbres e incluso, la tristeza de haber sido abandonado por la mujer con la que aspiraba a casarse.
Niki es ingenua pero al mismo tiempo inteligente, madura y sobretodo sensual junto a sus amigas Olly (Beatrice Valente), Erica (Francesca Ferrazzo) y Diletta (Michelle Carpente) conforma las olas como se hacen llamar en el instituto. Niki acaba de terminar con su novio Fabio Fobia (Davide Rossi) un rapero engre铆do que le rompe el coraz贸n. A Niki no le cuesta nada ver al amor de su vida en frente cuando conoce a Alessandro.
Al que m谩s le cuesta aceptarlo es a Ale pese a la ternura, la confianza, el amor y la promesa de una felicidad asegurada no son suficientes ya que le lleva 2 decadas a Niki y sobre todo es menor de edad. Sin embargo Alessandro se da la oportunidad de con Niki por el simple hecho que le ha ense帽ado a re铆r y a disfrutar su vida como nunca antes lo hab铆a hecho. Pero todo se complicara en su trabajo y ahora le tocara competir con Marcelo el que despu茅s se da cuenta es quien le ha robado a Elena, para quedarse en su puesto de publicista en Roma.
Una vez que Marcelo pierde ante 茅l, Elena vuelve a su vida arrepentida y Alessandro la acepta poni茅ndole fin de manera sensata a su relaci贸n con Niki. Mientras tanto, Niki otra vez con el coraz贸n roto estudia para los ex谩menes finales y cumple los dieciocho celebrando en un crucero a Grecia esperando en secreto a que su amor vuelva. Muchas cosas tienen que pasar para que Alessandro se d茅 cuenta de su error pero tendr谩 la ayuda de un h茅roe an贸nimo que le devolver谩 su vida y al amor de su vida Niki.
Story
The film was trashed by critics for being bland but I care little or nothing about their opinions the Spanish adaptation could have enjoyed much more budget but the Italian version is simply perfect. Starting with Raoul Bova as Alessandro, he is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful men I have ever seen in my life and he ended up being just as I imagined him in the novel.
Michela Quattrociocche shines as only true protagonists do, I loved her role as Niki, she looked committed and if I had doubts with her interpretation I was wrong all the time. Italians have that something that makes them special when it comes to romance. You can feel the passion in their society as something innate and cultural.
Then there is Rome, which we got to know as if we had walked its streets through this film. But if I were to choose something that I will not be able to forget in this film is that it ends up clarifying things that perhaps in the novel, Federico Moccia did not make clear, making the story much more interesting.

La pel铆cula fue destrozada por la cr铆tica, por seg煤n ellos ser sosa pero poco o nada me interesan sus opiniones la adaptaci贸n espa帽ola pudo gozar de mucho m谩s presupuesto pero la versi贸n italiana es sencillamente perfecta. Comenzando con Raoul Bova papel de Alessandro, sin duda es uno de los hombres, m谩s bellos que he visto en mi vida y termino siendo tal cual como me lo imagine en la novela.
Michela Quattrociocche brilla como solo lo hace las verdaderas protagonistas ame su rol como Niki, se ve铆a comprometida y si tuve dudas con su interpretaci贸n estuve errado todo el tiempo. Los italianos tienen ese no s茅 qu茅, que los hace especiales a la hora de hacer romance. Se siente la pasi贸n en su sociedad como algo innato y cultural.
Luego esta Roma, a la que llegamos a conocer como si hubi茅ramos caminado sus calles a trav茅s de esta pel铆cula. Pero si eligiera algo de lo cual no voy a poder olvidarme en esta pel铆cula es que termino aclarando cosas que quiz谩s en la novela, Federico Moccia no dejo bien claras haciendo la historia mucho m谩s interesante.
The story of the movie focuses on how a man believes in love again through a 17 year old girl, 20 years younger than him. Perhaps age is just a number when it comes to love so it is worth the risk even if the results are not always the desired ones. It also talks about love relationships of all types and all ages, Federico knows how to deal with different problems in an almost professional way and we get to understand each part of the story and its characters with sub plots that lead us to the end.
Sorry, If I Love You is a much more contemporary story than it seems, and I refuse to label it as a teen drama because it's not just one thing at a time, it's many different ages and problems and that's what makes it wonderfully enjoyable. I've seen it a million times and I don't think I'll ever get tired of dreaming about Italy and its eternal romance with love.
She's the one by Robbie Williams will always be there to remind me along with another collection of great Italian songs that in Italy love is lived with intensity. Don't hesitate if you get the chance to see ** Sorry, If I Love You ** for me it will always be a 10/10.
La historia de la pel铆cula se centra en como un hombre vuelve a creer en el amor a trav茅s de una chica de 17 a帽os, 20 a帽os menor que 茅l. Quiz谩s la edad sea solo un n煤mero cuando de amor se trata as铆 que vale la pena arriesgarse aunque los resultados no sean siempre los deseados. Tambi茅n se habla de las relaciones amorosas de todos los tipos y de todas las edades, Federico sabe c贸mo tratar diferentes problemas de una manera casi profesional y llegamos a entender cada parte de la historia y de sus personajes con sub tramas que nos van llevando al final.
Perdona si te llamo Amor es una historia mucho m谩s contempor谩nea de lo que parece, y me niego a etiquetarla como un drama adolescente porque no es una sola cosa a la vez, son muchas edades y problemas diferentes y eso es lo que la hace maravillosamente disfrutable. La he visto un mill贸n de veces y creo que no me cansare de so帽ar con Italia y su eterno romance con el amor.
She鈥檚 the one de Robbie Williams siempre estar谩 all铆 para recordarme junto con otra colecci贸n de grandes canciones de italianos que en Italia el amor se vive con intensidad. No duden si tienen la oportunidad de ver Perdona si te llamo Amor para m铆 siempre ser谩 un 10/10.
