Hello friends of Hive, I am happy to be able to share with you this space that has been part of my life for a month now, my experience on Hive has been wonderful, it has not been easy but it has been worth all the effort
Today I wanted to talk to you about the most important beauty pageant on the planet that this Sunday night, May 16, 2021 was held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Hollywood, in Miami, United States. It is no secret that in my country Venezuela we profess an incomparable love for this type of contest, we have 7 winners in the 69 years of the Miss Universe organization.
But let's not waste any more time and here is a recount of the best moments of last night and the previous activities of the contest.

Hola amigos de Hivers, me siento feliz de poder compartir con ustedes este espacio que forma parte de mi vida desde ya hace un mes, mi experiencia en Hive ha sido maravillosa , no ha sido fácil pero ha valido la pena todo el esfuerzo.
Hoy les quería hablar acerca del concurso de belleza más importante del planeta que la noche de este domingo 16 de Mayo de 2021 se realizó en el Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Hollywood, en Miami, Estados Unidos. Para nadie es un secreto que en mi país Venezuela profesamos un amor incomparable por este tipo de concursos, tenemos 7 ganadoras en los 69 años que tiene la organización Miss Universo.
Pero no perdamos más tiempo y aquí les va un recuento de los mejores momentos de anoche y las actividades previas del concurso.
𝖂𝖍𝖆𝖙 𝖎𝖘 𝕸𝖎𝖘𝖘 𝖀𝖓𝖎𝖛𝖊𝖗𝖘𝖊?
Miss Universe is an international beauty pageant founded in 1952, an annual edition is held in which women from an average of more than 70 countries from all continents participate, this year the edition corresponding to the year 2020 was held, which could not take place due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The contest has a series of activities leading up to the final night, among them are the presentation to the press, the national contest in traditional costumes and the preliminaries, the most important night where the semifinalists are chosen.
¿𝕼𝖚é 𝖊𝖘 𝖊𝖑 𝕸𝖎𝖘𝖘 𝖀𝖓𝖎𝖛𝖊𝖗𝖘𝖔?
El Miss Universo es un certamen de belleza internacional fundado en 1952, se celebra una edición anual en los cuales participan mujeres de un promedio de más 70 países de todos los continentes, este año se realizó la edición correspondiente al año 2020, la cual no se pudo concretar debido a la pandemia por Covid-19.
El concurso tiene una serie de actividades previas hasta la noche final entre ellas destacan la presentación a la prensa, el concurso nacional en trajes típicos y las preliminares la noche más importante donde se eligen a las semifinalistas.

This year's traditional costume competition held on the night of Thursday, May 13 was very colorful, as every edition the representatives of the 70 participating countries show off a costume that represents the culture of their nation. 𝕿𝖗𝖆𝖏𝖊𝖘 𝕿í𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖔𝖘
La competencia de trajes típicos este año realizada la noche del Jueves 13 de Mayo estuvo muy pintoresca, como cada edición las representantes de los 70 países participantes hacen gala de un traje que representa la cultura de su nación. Aquí una selección de los trajes más originales y polémicos del certamen.
𝕻𝖗𝖊𝖑𝖎𝖒𝖎𝖓𝖆𝖗𝖞 𝕮𝖔𝖒𝖕𝖊𝖙𝖎𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓
The preliminary competition is the gala where it is decided who will be the lucky ones who will be part of the final night of Miss Universe. This year it was held on the night of Friday, February 14 hosted by the current Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi and Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters both from South Africa. La competencia preliminar es la gala donde se decide quienes serán las afortunadas que formaran parte de las clasificadas en la noche final del miss Universo. Este año se realizó la noche del Viernes 14 de Febrero bajo la animación de la actual Miss Universo Zozibini Tunzi y Miss Universo 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters ambas de Sudáfrica. For years the dynamics of the contest has been adapting to the new times, changing the way of choosing the semifinalists. This year 20 girls were chosen plus one chosen by the public for a total of 21. The first 21 competed in a swimsuit parade. Among the 21 semifinalists were representatives from: Colombia, Peru, Australia, France, Myanmar, Jamaica, Mexico, Dominican Republic, United States, Indonesia, Argentina, India, Curacao, Puerto Rico, Philippines, Brazil, Great Britain, Nicaragua, Thailand, Costa Rica and Vietnam the winner of the public vote.
Por años la dinámica del concurso se ha ido adaptando a los nuevos tiempos, cambiando su manera de elegir a las semifinalistas. Este año fueron elegidas 20 chicas más una elegida por el público para un total de 21. Las primeras 21 competieron en un desfile en traje de baño. Entre las 21 semifinalistas figuraron las representantes de: Colombia, Peru, Australia, Francia, Myanmar, Jamaica, México, República Dominicana, Estados Unidos, Indonesia, Argentina, India, Curacao, Puerto Rico, Filipinas, Brasil, Gran Bretaña, Nicaragua, Tailandia, Costa Rica y Vietnam la ganadora del voto del público.

After the swimsuit fashion show, a cut was made and out of 21 there were 10 semi-finalists who participated in the evening gown fashion show, the 10 lucky ones were the representatives of: Jamaica, Dominican Republic, India, Peru, Australia, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Costa Rica, Mexico and Brazil.
Posterior al desfile en traje de baño se hace un corte y de 21 quedan 10 semifinalistas que participaron en el desfile en traje de noche, las 10 afortunadas fueron las representantes de: Jamaica, República Dominicana, India, Perú, Australia, Puerto Rico, Tailandia, Costa Rica, México y Brasil.

After the evening gown parade, the last elimination round was held leaving only 5 finalists among them Mexico, India, Brazil, Dominican Republic and Peru where the candidates faced the dreaded round of questions where it was decided who would receive the coveted title of Miss Universe 2020.
Luego del desfile en traje de noche se realizó la última ronda eliminatoria quedando solo 5 finalistas entre ellas México, India, Brasil, República Dominicana y Perú donde las candidatas se enfrentaron a la temible ronda de preguntas donde se decidió quien recibiría el codiciado título de Miss Universo 2020.

Everything was gray during last Sunday night, the competition lacked music and was only enlivened by the Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi. Miss Universe pageant seems to be a little flashy and nothing is left of the fanfare of when Donald Trump ran the organization. The presenters were very simple, Olivia Culpo was not even heard when naming the qualifiers, Mario Lopez was the light of the night pronouncing the names of the countries in Spanish.
There were many surprises, Miss Venezuela and Miss Canada did not appear in the universal competition generating surprise. In the end the great favorites qualified and I was happy with the triumph of Andrea Meza Miss Mexico, it was a great year for Latinas.
Although in my opinion the representative of Peru answered the questions better, Mexico achieved another feat by crowning another of its candidates. The first Mexican Miss Universe was Lupita Jones in 1991, and then Ximena Navarrete repeated the achievement in 2010. It took 11 years to see another Mexican crowned.
We will have to wait until December when the 70th edition of Miss Universe will be held, to see if things improve with the arrival of tycoon Elon Musk as a partner of the organization.
Todo fue gris durante la noche del pasado Domingo, le faltó música a la competencia que solo estuvo amenizada por el cantante puertorriqueño Luis Fonsi. El Miss Universo parece un concurso poco llamativo y nada queda de la fanfarria de cuando Donald Trump manejaba la organización. Los presentadores estuvieron muy simples, Olivia Culpo ni siquiera se escuchaba cuando nombraba a las clasificadas, Mario López fue la luz de la noche pronunciando los nombre de los países en español.
Sorpresas hubieron muchas, Miss Venezuela y Miss Canadá no figuraron en la justa universal generando sorpresa. Al final clasificaron a las grandes favoritas y me quedé contento con el triunfo de Andrea Mesa Miss México, fue un gran año para las latinas.
A pesar de que a mi parecer la representante de Perú respondió mejor a las preguntas, México logra otra hazaña logrando coronar a otra de sus candidatas. La primera Miss Universo mexicana fue Lupita Jones en 1991, luego Ximena Navarrete repetiría el logro en 2010. Tuvieron que pasar 11 años para ver coronar a otra mexicana.
Quedará esperar hasta Diciembre cuando se celebrara la 70ª Edicion del Miss Universo, a ver si las cosas mejoran con la llegada del magnate Elon Musk como socio de la organización.
