Este post está escrito en dos idiomas y dividido para facilitar la lectura.
No me considero amante del género romántico ni cuando se trata de cine o cuando se trata de literatura, pero si debo admitir que en muchas ocasiones hay algo que me pide que me ponga a ver éste típico de películas y me dé el consentimiento de soñar un poco luego de ver alguna.
Estuve navegando un poco por mi feed de HIVE y me encontré con ésta iniciativa creada por @beatriche dónde nos invita a hablar de nuestras 5 películas románticas favoritas (o de amor verdadero). Y aunque pensé que podría costarme responder, me sorprendió bastante el hecho de que si tengo varias películas de amor que me encantan.
Orgullo y Prejuicio
Darcy es el culpable de éste amor que siento yo tanto por la película como por el libro. He visto ésta película sin mentiros, unas 30 veces desde que la descubrí, lo mismo pasa con el libro. Pese a que el desarrollo de algunos personajes no me pareció el adecuado o, de plano, sin su existencia la película hubiese continuado de la misma manera, no puedo dejar de amarla y calificarla cada vez que pueda con 5 estrellas.
Además, la química que expresan ambos actores principales en la película es tan real, que realmente quisieras que jamás se termine y continuar viendo como fue su evolución hasta quizás el final de sus días (porque recordemos que es una película de época).
Ésta películas es la que más me gusta de todas las adaptaciones de Orgullo y Prejuicio. Quisiera destacar que también vi la de Orgullo, Prejuicio y Zombies y no me pareció una película buena en absoluto.

Diario de una pasión se terminó convirtiendo en una de mis películas favoritas de todos los tiempos, siempre que pueda verla lo haré, la historia me conmueve de una forma extraordinaria, además de que es inevitable no llorar con ella. Aquí sucede lo mismo que con orgullo y prejuicio, la química que existe entre ambos actores durante el rodaje es lo que te permite conectar con ellos, además, se dice que durante el rodaje ambos se odiaban, luego de un tiempo fue que el amor se hizo presente y terminaron saliendo fuera de cámaras.
Ésta es una de esas películas que te coloca en el pensamiento de ''y, ¿si alguna vez, aunque pierda a ese amor, jamás dejaré de amarlo?''. Como si el verdadero amor nadie pudiese sacárselo del pecho y aun conociendo a otras personas, ese pedazo continuará ahí, palpitando en tu pecho.
Antes del amanecer
Luego de ver ésta película también me he preguntado si alguna vez conoceremos un amor tan fugaz como éste, si somos capaces de sentir todo únicamente en una noche ¿será así? Aunque obviamente las películas son solamente ficción, nos dan ese pase exclusivo a querer soñar por un tiempo.
La primera vez que vi Antes del Amanecer fue el año pasado y, la verdad es que me impactó mucho la película, ¿alguien habrá vivido alguna experiencia así? De cualquier manera es una de mis favoritas.
Eterno resplandor de una mente sin recuerdos
Ésta película amigos, no puedo evitar decir que me rompe el corazón, pero al mismo tiempo me encanta verla. No sé si entre en la categoría romance, pero al menos su final nos llena de una posible esperanza de que ésta pareja continúe. Puede que no haya sido un romance muy intenso como las películas que he mencionado anteriormente, pero si te permite saber que el amor no tiene por qué serlo, que tiene etapas y formas distintas que también significan amor, como la calma.
La verdad es que me encanta y, le deja un espacio al espectador de saber que la historia realmente no termina en una posible separación, siguen dando espacio a un reencuentro, a un renacer. Aunque si estás despechado, te deja ideas de que ojalá existiese la forma de lograr borrar todos los recuerdos de tu mente de alguien más.

Cate Blanchet es la culpable de que ésta película me guste tanto, ya de por sí ésta mujer es maravillosa en El Señor de los Anillos, imaginaros su actuación aquí.
Aunque ciertamente la única que me gustó de toda la película es ella, es quién le da vida a toda ella en sí, faltó desarrollar un poco más el personaje de Therese, darle un poco más de chispa, de que la vida no es sólo poner una mirada que colinda entre el dolor y la calma. No sé si Rooney Mara realmente encajaba con éste personaje, considero que pudieron buscarse mejores opciones, algo que realmente te hiciese sentir química entre ambas.
Pese a que Sarah Paulson no tuvo mucha participación, ella le dio más vida a las escenas que interpretaba, que Rooney Mara. De cualquier forma es una película que me encanta por su historia, la época en la cuál está narrada y también, por Cate Blanchet, evidentemente. Estoy ansiosa por leer el libro.
I don't consider myself a lover of the romantic genre, neither when it comes to cinema nor when it comes to literature, but I must admit that in many occasions there is something that asks me to watch this kind of movies and give me the consent to dream a little after watching one of them.
I was browsing my HIVE feed and I came across this initiative created by @beatriche where she invites us to talk about our 5 favorite romantic (or true love) movies. And although I thought it might be hard for me to answer, I was quite surprised by the fact that I do have several love movies that I love.
Pride and Prejudice
Darcy is to blame for the love I feel for both the movie and the book. I have seen this movie, no lie, about 30 times since I discovered it, the same goes for the book. Even though the development of some of the characters didn't seem right or, for that matter, without their existence the movie would have continued in the same way, I can't help but love it and rate it every time I can with 5 stars.
Also, the chemistry that both main actors express in the movie is so real, that you really want it to never end and continue watching their evolution until perhaps the end of their days (because let's remember that it is a period movie).
This movie is the one I like the most of all the Pride and Prejudice adaptations. I would like to point out that I also saw Pride, Prejudice and Zombies and I didn't think it was a good movie at all.

Diary of a Passion ended up becoming one of my favorite movies of all time, whenever I can watch it I will, the story moves me in an extraordinary way, plus it's inevitable not to cry with it. The same thing happens here as with Pride and Prejudice, the chemistry that exists between both actors during the filming is what allows you to connect with them, besides, it is said that during the filming they both hated each other, after a while it was that love was present and they ended up dating off camera.
This is one of those movies that puts you in the mindset of ''what if I ever, even if I lose that love, I will never stop loving it?''. As if true love no one can ever get it out of your chest and even if you meet other people, that piece will still be there, throbbing in your chest.
Before sunrise
After watching this movie I have also wondered if we will ever know a love as fleeting as this one, if we are able to feel everything only in one night, will it be like that? Although obviously movies are only fiction, they give us that exclusive pass to want to dream for a while.
The first time I saw Before Sunrise was last year and, the truth is that the film had a great impact on me, has anyone lived an experience like this? Anyway, it is one of my favorites.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
This movie friends, I can't help but say that it breaks my heart, but at the same time I love watching it. I don't know if it falls into the romance category, but at least its ending fills us with a possible hope that this couple will continue. It may not have been a very intense romance like the movies I mentioned above, but it does let you know that love doesn't have to be, that it has different stages and forms that also mean love, like calm.
The truth is that I love it and, it leaves a space for the viewer to know that the story doesn't really end in a possible separation, it still gives space for a reunion, a rebirth. Although if you are scorned, it leaves you with the idea that if only there was a way to erase all the memories of someone else from your mind.

Cate Blanchet is the reason why I like this movie so much, she is already wonderful in Lord of the Rings, imagine her performance here.
Although certainly the only one I liked in the whole movie is her, she is the one who gives life to the whole movie itself, Therese's character lacked to develop a little more, to give her a little more spark, that life is not just to put a look that borders between pain and calm. I don't know if Rooney Mara really fit this character, I think they could have looked for better options, something that really made you feel chemistry between the two.
Even though Sarah Paulson didn't have much of a part, she brought more life to the scenes she played, than Rooney Mara. Either way, it's a movie I love because of the story, the era in which it's set and also because of Cate Blanchet, obviously. I can't wait to read the book.
