Hello #hive friends of this respected community, it had been a while since I wrote here, but today I want to share with you the emotions experienced while watching the Spanish series on Netflix titled: "La Casa de Papel " created by Alex Pina and produced by Atresmedia and later by Netflix. Starring Úrsula Corberó (Tokyo), Itziar Ituño (Inspector Murillo - Lisbon) and Álvaro Morte (The Professor). It premiered on May 2 of 2017 on Antena 3, before Netflix acquired, re-edited and distributed worldwide.
This series was very busy last year here in my country, Venezuela; at least in my environment I heard everyone talking about it; everyone was talking about the teacher, I for my part for that moment did not have a Netflix account, and I did not know what they were talking about. Because of my profession as a classroom teacher, I inferred that the series had to do with the world of education since they mentioned the teacher a lot.
From the month of March or so was that I started watching series and movies on Netflix, but I had not seen this one, it was in this week that I started watching it recommended by my niece, and now I understand the boom and the hype it generated in people at the time they were enjoying it. Yes because it is an enjoyment to be able to watch a series that keeps you alive and excited from the beginning to the end. It is an eternal suspense, you never know what is going to happen, you never imagine what the outcome will be.
With "La Casa de papel" I experienced that, I felt the same emotions with "Sense 8" there are too many emotions together, you live the plot, you feel and suffer with the main characters; you get so much into the action that you enjoy it in such a way that even sleep is taken away and you don't want to stop watching it, until you know the final outcome.
The story unfolds with a plan that has the famous professor to steal the National Mint and Stamp of Madrid, and print 2400 million Euros. To do this he recruits eight people with certain skills and nothing to lose to help him fulfill his ambitious plan. They are installed in an abandoned house far from the city, where they live together and receive all the classes and strategies required to accomplish the mission.
The first strategy imposed by "The Professor" is a set of rules that must be followed. Among them, he suggests that there should be no interpersonal relationships between them, they should not call each other by their own name and less intimidate with their private life. For this, he recommends that they use city names and that is how they will call and communicate with each other.
For this they choose the names of the following cities: Tokyo, Berlin, Nairobi, Rio, Denver, Moscow, Helsinki and Oslo. I named them without determining their level of importance, because they are definitely all indispensable, as each one was characterized by a necessary skill to be able to achieve the objectives. In this review I do not intend to tell the story, I just want to describe the emotions I lived and the moral that the series leaves, from my perception.
This series is very refreshing and makes me reflect on the fact that the viewer feels so much empathy with the kidnappers, usually the opposite happens; we are bothered by these types of people who harm others or state entities. Well here the opposite happens, you fall in love with "the bad guys" so to speak; which would be the kidnappers or the bad guy in this case; the professor; who is the brilliant mind of the plan.
Now, the professor is a nerd-genius mix. He knows everything, he handles all the information and knows how financial institutions work, he knows the procedure used in kidnappings and can predict the actions of the police, he knows how to handle laws and human rights, which he knows how to move those key pieces for the moment of the negotiations.
Generally speaking he is a very educated man and that wealth of knowledge is what allows him to always have a long lead against the police. In addition, he made a psychological and family study of each and every member of the police force. This allows them to circumvent the protocols used by the police to try to stop the assault on the National Mint.
He is a man with a brilliant mind; very intelligent, however, he did not count that his feelings were going to betray him; falling in love with the inspector Raquel Murillo, the most important person of the opposite side, who was following his steps closely; and finally ends up discovering him. However, the story takes a complete turn, when her superiors dismiss her from her position, and accuse her of being an accomplice. However, she follows her instincts and arrives at the professor's hideout, but unfortunately she is caught by the team of criminals working for him. And the robbers managed to escape with the loot.
That is the summary of parts 1 and 2, now, I want to emphasize that during 5 months prior to the kidnapping these people were living together, they shared many pleasant moments which made them feel like family. However, during the days that they remained locked up in the Mint, many problems arose between them, strong fights and arguments due to the stress generated by the whole situation, which seems perfectly normal to me. Because the theory is one thing, but in practice everything is different.
In parts 3 and 4 after everyone was on their own enjoying life and their earnings, an event arises that leads them to meet again, and plan a new assault. This time they go for the gold reserves. With them come new characters including the deposed inspector Raquel Murillo, who sees this as a way of revenge, and now calls herself Lisboa. In my analysis I can observe that it is an antagonistic series, because in the story, despite being criminals, values such as friendship, tolerance, solidarity, love, respect, cooperation, companionship, among others such as the search for justice, equality and freedom prevail.
I also think that the reason why they decide to assault both institutions is to strike a blow to the hypocritical governments, who blatantly steal the nation's assets and "make it up" behind legal actions for the benefit of society, which in the end we all know is a lie. It is also a way to show the world how they use power at their whim to destroy the quality of life of the citizens.
They also want us to see how the police force manipulates the truth before the media, with respect to the mistreatment of humanity that they incur on people who commit crimes, although we do not like it, they also have rights. I think that's the message of La Casa de Papel...

Esta serie estuvo muy movida el año pasado aquí en mi país, Venezuela; por lo menos en mi entorno escuchaba a todo el mundo hablar de ella; todos hablaban del profesor, yo por mi parte para ese momento no tenía cuenta de Netflix, y no sabía de que estaban hablando. Por mi profesión docente de aula, yo infería que la serie tenía que ver con el mundo de la educación ya que mencionaban mucho al profesor.
A partir del mes de marzo más o menos fue que comencé a ver series y películas en Netflix, pero no había visto ésta, fue en esta semana que la comencé a ver recomendada por mi sobrina, y ahora entiendo el auge y el alboroto que generó en las personas en el momento que la estaban disfrutando. Sí porque es un disfrute poder ver una serie que te mantiene vivo y emocionado desde el principio hasta el fin. Es un suspenso eterno, nunca se sabe que va a pasar, nunca te imaginas cual es el desenlace.
Con La Casa de papel experimenté eso, sentí la mismas emociones con "Sense 8" son demasiadas emociones juntas, vives la trama, sientes y sufres con los protagonistas; te metes tanto en la acción que la disfrutas de tal manera que hasta el sueño se te quita y no quieres parar de verla, hasta conocer el desenlace final.
La historia se desarrolla con un plan que tiene el famoso profesor para robar la Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre de Madrid, e imprimir 2400 millones de Euros. Para ello recluta a ocho personas con ciertas habilidades y sin nada que perder para que lo ayuden a cumplir su ambicioso plan. Se instalan en una casa abandonada lejos de la ciudad, donde conviven juntos y reciben todas las clases y estrategias requeridas para poder cumplir con la misión.
La primera estrategia que impone "El Profesor" son un conjunto de reglas las cuales se deben cumplir. Entre las mismas sugiere que no deben existir relaciones interpersonales entre ellos, no se llamaran por su nombre propio y menos intimidar con su vida privada. Para ello, les recomienda que usen nombres de ciudades y es así como se van a llamar y comunicar entre ellos.
Para ello escogen los nombres de las siguientes ciudades: Tokio, Berlín, Nairobi, Río, Denver, Moscú, Helsinsky y Oslo. Los nombré sin determinar su nivel de importancia, porque definitivamente todos son imprescindibles, ya que cada uno se caracterizaba por una habilidad necesaria para poder lograr los objetivos. En esta reseña no pretendo contar la historia, solo quiero describir las emociones que viví y la moraleja que deja la serie, desde mi percepción.
Esta serie es muy refrescante y me pone a reflexionar el hecho de que el televidente sienta tanta empatía con los secuestradores, suele ocurrir lo contrario; nos molestan ese tipo de personas que dañan a otras o las entidades del Estado. Pues aquí sucede todo lo contrario, te enamoras de "los malos" por decirlo de alguna forma; que serían los secuestradores o del malo en este caso; el profesor; que es la mente brillante del plan.
Ahora bien, el profesor es una mezcla de nerd-genio. Sabe todo, maneja toda la información y conoce el funcionamiento de las entidades financieras, sabe el procedimiento que se utilizan en los secuestros y puede predecir la actuación de la policía, conoce el manejo de las leyes y los derechos humanos, los cuales sabe mover esas piezas claves para el momento de las negociaciones.
En líneas generales es un hombre muy culto y ese bagaje de conocimiento es lo que le permite siempre llevar una larga ventaja contra la policía. Además, que hizo un estudio psicológico y familiar de todos y cada uno de los integrantes de las fuerzas policiales. Lo cual les permite burlar los protocolos que éstos utilizan para intentar detener el asalto a la Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre.
Es un hombre con una mente brillante; muy inteligente, sin embargo, no contó que los sentimientos le iban a traicionar; al enamorarse de la inspectora Raquel Murillo, la persona más importante del bando contrario, quien le seguía de cerca los pasos; y finalmente termina descubriendolo. Sin embargo, la historia da un vuelco total, cuando sus superiores la destituyen del cargo, y la acusan de cómplice. Sin embargo, ella sigue sus instintos y llega al escondite del profesor, pero lamentablemente fue apresada por el equipo de delincuentes que trabajan para él. Y los atracadores lograron escapar con el botín.
Ese es el resumen de las partes 1 y 2, ahora bien, quiero resaltar que durante 5 meses previos al secuestro estas personas estuvieron conviviendo, compartieron muchos momentos agradables los cuales los hicieron sentirse en familia. Sin embargo, los días que permanecieron encerrados en la Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre surgieron muchos inconvenientes entre ellos, fuertes peleas y discusiones producto del estrés que generaba toda la situación, cosa que me parece perfectamente normal. Porque la teoría es una cosa pero en la práctica todo es diferente.
En las partes 3 y 4 luego de cada quien estuviese por su lado disfrutando de la vida y de sus ganancias, surge un evento que los lleva a reunirse otra vez, y planificar un nuevo asalto. Esta vez van por las reservas del oro. Con ellos llegan nuevos personajes incluyendo a la inspectora destituida Raquel Murillo, quien ve esto como una manera de venganza, y ahora se hace llamar Lisboa. En mi análisis puedo observar que es una serie antagónica, porque en la historia, a pesar de ser delincuentes prevalecen valores como la amistad, la tolerancia, la solidaridad, el amor, el respeto, la cooperación, el compañerismo, entre otros como la búsqueda de la justicia, la igualdad y la libertad.
Pienso también que la razón por la cual ellos deciden asaltar ambas instituciones es para darle un golpe a los gobiernos hipócritas, que se roban de manera descarada los bienes de la nación y "lo maquillan" tras acciones legales en beneficio de la sociedad, que al final todos sabemos que es mentira. También es una manera de demostrarle al mundo como usan el poder a su antojo para destruir la calidad de vida de los ciudadanos.
También quieren hacernos ver como la fuerza policial manipula la verdad ante los medios de comunicación, con respecto a los maltratos de lesa humanidad que incurren sobre las personas que cometen delitos, aunque no nos guste, ellos también tienen derechos. Creo que ese es el mensaje de La Casa de Papel...
