Who hasn't enjoyed the huge catalog of films that Mr. (Nicolas Cage) has in his long career as an actor and has marked a before and after in dozens of films that have been a huge success not only in his home country but also in dozens of countries where he has achieved enormous success.
Movies like Face/Off, 60 Seconds and the classic and successful The Rock are just a small sample of the wide genre and diverse films he has had the honor of starring in for over 30 years and totaling around 90 films which is insane. When I was young they used to show many movies of this actor on national channels in my country where I had the opportunity to know the magic and sympathy of one of the actors that despite the years and a myriad of changes in the film world has remained active making movies.

Quién no ha disfrutado del enorme catálogo de películas que tiene el señor (Nicolas Cage) en su larga carrera como actor y que ha marcado un antes y después en docenas de películas que han tenido un gran éxito no solo en su país de origen sino que también en docenas de países donde ha logrado un éxito enorme.
Películas como Face/Off, 60 Seconds y la clásica y exitosa The Rock son solo una pequeña muestra del amplio género y diversas películas que ha tenido el honor de protagonizar durante más de 30 años y que suma un alrededor de 90 películas lo que es una locura. De joven solían pasar muchas películas de este actor en canales nacionales de mi país donde tuve la oportunidad de conocer la magia y simpatía de uno de los actores que a pesar de los años y una infinidad de cambios en el mundo cinematográfico se ha mantenido activo haciendo películas.

In recent years we have had the opportunity to see him in films not so successful and that sadly have lowered the quality of what we were used to some of those films that we would have liked not to see how Primal, Grand Isle and recently one that really has no head or feet, but somehow manages to surprise in a timid way and I spoke of Willy's Wonderland which is hit head on and without any regrets.
Seeing that the quality of his films has gone down and that he has the need to participate in any film that comes his way may be accompanied not only by his financial problems but also by a new era where the new generations are taking ground and the old school actors have had to give way when they have lost the pace and are not at the level of years ago and we see that and many figures of the medium who have had to opt for low budget productions or very little known to continue working and live what they are passionate about.
All this can also confuse the new viewer who pity that the new generations of actors mark a before and after in this world and the truth is that the old school has left the bar at the top and remain legends and remember their old movies is like traveling back in time and relive those unique moments. In this new review I want to talk to you about a movie that was a little hard for me to digest and that I really had no expectations that it would be a work of art, but I must tell you that it has given me something to cut and that's what I want to talk to you about, my cinephile friend.
➡️ 🇻🇪 Claro como todo en la vida los tiempos cambian y el éxito ya no es el mismo de hace años y ha tenido que verse envuelto en algunos problemas financieros por su estilo de vida y la vieja sombra de una época donde era el centro de atención. En los últimos años hemos tenido la oportunidad de verlo en películas no tan exitosos y que tristemente han bajado la calidad de lo que nos tenía acostumbrado unas de esas películas que nos hubiera gustado no ver cómo Primal, Grand Isle y recientemente una que la verdad no tiene ni pies ni cabeza, pero de cierto modo logra sorprender de manera tímida y les habló de Willy's Wonderland la cual se golpea de frente y sin ningún arrepentimiento.
Ver que la calidad de sus películas han bajado y que tiene la necesidad de participar en cualquier película que se le atraviese puede venir acompañado no solo de sus problemas financieros sino también de una nueva época en donde las nuevas generaciones están tomando terreno y los actores de la vieja escuela han tenido que ceder el paso cuando han perdido el ritmo y no están al nivel de hace años atrás y eso lo vemos y muchas figuras del medio que han tenido que optar por producciones de bajo presupuesto o muy poco conocidas para poder seguir trabajando y vivir de lo que los apasiona.
Todo esto puede llegar a confundir también al nuevo espectador que pena que las nuevas generaciones de actores marcan un antes y después en este mundo y la verdad es que la vieja escuela ha dejado la barra en lo más alto y siguen siendo leyendas y recordar sus viejas películas es como viajar al pasado y revivir esos momentos únicos. En esta nueva reseña te quiero hablar de una película que me costó un poco digerir y que realmente no tenía ninguna expectativa de que sería una obra de arte, pero sí debo decirles que me ha dado tela para cortar y de eso quiero hablar contigo amigo cinéfilo.
🎬 WHAT'S THE MOVIE ABOUT?
I'LL TELL YOU QUICKLY AND WITHOUT SPOILERS, IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET!
We meet a mysterious man we'll call the vagabond / janitor played by (Nicolas Cage) who travels in his vehicle, But by bad luck he suffers a small accident that leaves his car broken down in a small town of Nevada and asks for help to take his car to the nearest garage and arriving at the place he runs into the surprise that they have no system to pay electronically and much less an ATM where to withdraw cash to pay for the repair so he has to work as payment for a small family establishment owner called Willy's Wonderland where he must do the cleaning of the whole place.
But before we run into Liv Hawthorne (Emily Tosta) a rebellious girl who tries to set fire to the place and is stopped by Sheriff Eloise Lund (Beth Grant) who hides a secret and prevents this young woman and her friends make a big mistake. Everything inside the place seems most normal a series of eight animatronic pets and the old structure of a place that seemed to have great success in its time are the ground where our protagonist must do a job that seems to be tedious but easy to do.
What seemed to be simple and nothing out of the ordinary starts to become a bit disturbing when we see that the animatronic pets begin to have strange movements and you may think at first that it may be due to an open circuit of energy that makes them move in a strange and scary way but the truth is that they hide a dark secret that allows them to come to life and commit terrible murders to those who enter the place. Things get complicated for the janitor from one moment to the next and he must find a way out of this complicated situation before the dolls end his life.

¡TE LO CUENTO RÁPIDO Y SIN SPOILERS, POR SI AÚN NO LA HAS VISTO!
Conoceremos a un misterioso hombre al cual llamaremos el vagabundo / conserje interpretado por (Nicolas Cage) que viaje en su vehículo, pero que por mala suerte sufre un pequeño accidente que deja averiado su auto en un pequeño pueblo de Nevada y pide ayuda para llevar su auto al taller más cercano y llegando al lugar se topa con la sorpresa que no tienen sistema para pagar de forma electrónica y mucho menos un cajero donde sacar efectivo para pagar la reparación por lo cual le toca trabajar como forma de pago para un el dueño de un pequeño establecimiento familiar llamado Willy´s Wonderland donde deberá hacer la limpieza de todo el lugar.
Pero antes nos toparemos con Liv Hawthorne (Emily Tosta) una chica rebelde que intenta prender fuego al lugar y es detenida por el Sheriff Eloise Lund (Beth Grant) quien esconde un secreto y evita que esta joven y sus amigos comentan un gran error. Todo dentro del lugar parece de lo más normal una serie de ocho mascotas animatrónicas y la vieja estructura de un lugar que pareció tener gran éxito en su tiempo son el terreno donde nuestro protagonista debe hacer un trabajo que parece ser tedioso pero fácil de realizar.
Lo que parecía ser sencillo y nada fuera de lo normal comienza a tornarse un poco perturbador cuando vemos que las mascotas animatrónicas comienzan a tener movimientos extraños y se puede pensar a la primera que puede ser debido a un circuito abierto de energía que hace que se muevan de manera extraña y tenebrosa pero la verdad es que esconden un oscuro secreto que les permite cobrar vida y cometer terribles asesinatos a quienes entren al lugar. Las cosas para el conserje se complican de un momento a otro y debe buscar la forma de salir de esta complicada situación antes que los muñecos acaben con su vida.
We will see how scenes full of blood and lots of hydraulic oil will be the protagonists of this particular and bizarre film that will become a little strange and senseless during 1h 29m under the genre of Terror and Action. Where some gore scenes may attract your attention and the particular way in which the main character takes this disturbing situation in such a relaxed way may be to your liking or simply the straw that broke the camel's back.
LET'S GET TO IT.
🎬 MY SPOILER-FREE OPINION
It is a film with a very particular personality and above all super curious in how it develops its main character that practically throughout the film does not say anything and this can explode your head as the dialogues are scarce and only focus on action scenes bathed in terror, but not a terror that makes you jump off the couch or keep you with a lot of tension is rather a strawberry terror of those that you come and that do not impact anything emotionally but at a visual level that you can enjoy to some extent.
The main plot is nothing new, it's the typical film where an inanimate object has life thanks to a supernatural and evil phenomenon that seeks to fill itself with blood and the pain of innocent victims is the typical cliché of an infinite number of films but with a personality that I dare say is unique or at least original enough to stay until the end. I was positively surprised that the violent scenes between the protagonist and the animatronics were so creative by showing both blood and jets of engine lubricant and hydraulic oil which gave you that atmosphere of terror but without causing fear but rather curiosity to know how each of these scenes would develop which I'm sure is the biggest motivator to stay for the end of the movie. I'm sure that is the biggest motivator to stay until the end because the narrative level is super weak and perhaps only 25% of the film has dialogues between the characters that only serve to explain certain moments in the film and nothing else since the conversations that we can see have no importance outside of what I just mentioned.
➡️ 🇻🇪 Veremos como escenas llenas de sangre y mucho aceite hidráulico serán las protagonistas de esta particular y bizarra película que se tornara un poco extraña y sin sentido durante 1h 29m bajo el género de Terror y Acción. Donde algunas escenas gore podrán atraer tu atención y la forma tan particular de su personaje principal en cómo toma esta situación tan perturbadora de una manera tan relajada puede que sea de tu agrado o simplemente la gota que rebasó el vaso de la tolerancia.
VAMOS A LO QUE VENIMOS
MI OPINION LIBRE DE SPOILERS
Es una película con una personalidad muy particular y sobre todo súper curiosa en cómo desarrolla su personaje principal que prácticamente en todo la película no dice nada y esto puede explotar tu cabeza ya que los diálogos son escasos y solo se enfocan en escenas de acción bañadas en terror, pero no un terror que te haga saltar del sofá o te mantenga con mucha tensión es más bien un terror fresa de esos que vienes venir y que no impactan en nada a nivel emocional pero sí a nivel visual que puedes disfrutar hasta cierto punto.
La trama principal no es nada nueva es el típico filme donde un objeto inanimado tiene vida gracias a un fenómeno sobrenatural y maligno que busca llenarse de sangre y el dolor de víctimas inocentes es el típico cliché de una infinidad de películas pero con una personalidad que me atrevo a decir que es única o por lo menos lo suficiente original para quedarte hasta el final. Me sorprendió de manera positiva que las escenas violentas entre el protagonista y los animatronico fuera tan creativa al mostrar tanto sangre como chorros de lubricante para motor como aceite hidráulico lo cual te daba esa atmósfera de terror pero sin causar miedo más bien curiosidad por saber cómo se desarrollaría cada una de esas escenas que estoy seguro que es el mayor motivador para quedarte hasta el final ya que a nivel de narrativa es súper floja y quizás solo un 25% de la película cuenta con diálogos entre los personajes que solo sirven para explicar ciertos momentos dentro de la película y nada mas ya que las conversaciones que podemos ver no tienen ninguna importancia fuera de lo que te acabo de mencionar.
I usually pause this kind of movies and I am very demanding when I see a specific genre and when I come across something totally different from what I am sold I usually pause and change the movie. Here nothing of the sort happens and realistically the movie doesn't generate any horror and not that the possessed animatronic theme isn't disturbing it's more the context in which it was developed that makes it not work as it should.
BIZARRE AND STUPID, were my first impressions and I kept it until the end, I had a long time without seeing a (Nicolas Cage) movie and this was like a cold water bath but somewhat pleasant. I was sharing some thoughts about the participation of this great actor with several friends on Facebook who shared that old feeling where action-packed movies represented an actor who had to go through different genres and in each of them maintained that personality that characterizes him and that is still something that in the envelope comes out of the other actors as is that stare and the way he walks you know how that character in the movies that has everything in control and is not afraid of anything. Here we see it but on a character level I was surprised that they didn't go for the basics you know where the good guy always tries to run away from a situation before dealing with it in a crazy and messy way here we see the opposite it's like he's been through a similar situation and nothing has surprised him.
This is where you might lose some interest and we fall into that simple line of doing nothing old school and rather go against the flow, the film already speaks clearly from the beginning and does not try to surprise you but rather wants to show its style.
LET'S TALK ABOUT THEIR CHARACTERS, the film itself is developed around (Nicolas Cage) and two characters 2 characters that appear from time to time and randomly making the plot has a base and does not get lost in the repetitive because if you remember correctly we were talking about a movie that shows us animatronics and that is its point of attention.
➡️ 🇻🇪 Suelo pausar este tipo de películas y soy muy exigente cuando veo un género en específico y cuando me topo con algo totalmente distinto a lo que me venden suelo pausar y cambiar de película. Aquí no ocurre nada por el estilo y siendo realista la película no genera nada de terror y no que el tema de los animatronicos poseídos no sea algo perturbador es más bien el contexto en lo que lo desarrollaron es lo que hace que no funcione como debería.
BIZARRO Y ESTUPIDO, fueron mis primeras impresiones y lo mantuve hasta el final, tenía tiempo sin ver una película de (Nicolas Cage) y esto fue como un baño de agua fría pero algo agradable. Estuve compartiendo algunos pensamientos sobre la participación de esta gran actor con varios amigos en Facebook quienes compartían ese viejo sentimiento donde películas llenas de acción representaban a un actor que le tocó pasar por diferentes géneros y que en cada uno de ellos mantenía esa personalidad que lo caracteriza y que sigue siendo algo que en el sobre sale de los demás actores como lo es esa mirada fija y la manera en como camina ya sabes cómo ese personaje de las películas que tiene todo en control y que no le tema a nada. Aquí lo vemos pero a nivel de personajes me sorprendió que no se fueran por lo básico ya sabes donde el bueno siempre intenta huir de una situación antes de enfrentarse a ello a lo loco y desordenado aquí vemos lo contrario es como si hubiera pasado por una situación parecida y nada le hubiera sorprendido.
Aquí en donde puede que uno le pueda perder algo de interés y caemos en esa línea tan sencilla de hacer nada a la vieja escuela y más bien ir contra la corriente, total ya la película desde el inicio te habla claro y no intenta sorprenderte más bien desea mostrar su estilo.
HABLEMOS DE SUS PERSONAJES , la película en sí se desarrolla alrededor de (Nicolas Cage) y dos personajes 2 personajes que aparecen de vez en cuando y d manera aleatoria haciendo que la trama tenga una base y no se pierda en lo repetitivo ya que si mal no recuerdan estábamos hablando de una película que nos muestran animatronicos y es su punto de atención.
The character of Sheriff (Beth Grant) is the bridge that serves to give origin to the plot and that is not left to the imagination of the viewer but rather that it has its context and we can understand the reasons why these characters are involved in this strange and disturbing situation. I liked the simplicity of the character and how easy it is to fall in tune with his role which does not happen with the character of Liv (Emily Tosta) who is the other protagonist but from my point of vita only serves as filler as it does not bring anything interesting and is rather like that hindrance that you must put aside to avoid tripping over it.
Another character that I think was not given more time on stage and perhaps would have been a good choice to create scenes where the dialogue would have had more prominence is the character of Tex (Ric Reitz) who owns the place where everything happens who also does not make much difference in the film, but is part of the plot that originates all situations and who could be a bridge for more dialogue and I emphasize this because only 25% of the film has scenes where we see conversations the rest is practically blood and screams and the screams are just a moment.
DO I RECOMMEND IT?, You could say yes, but I also think it will depend on your taste and the patience you have with movies out of the traditional and more if you put in the form of Mr. Cage who in my opinion had a job not complicated and perhaps the strangest I've seen so far. I invite you to take a look and see for yourself how good or bad this movie is.
I have always said that we have to try a little bit of everything to grow that knowledge and have a base and morale to know the difference between good and bad, but also that knowledge in every possible genre and not stay pigeonholed in one, movies give us the opportunity to know different angles and colors that every day we talk more mind and the desire to continue enjoying good movies no matter how good or bad it may be always have the opportunity to get something good out of it.
➡️ 🇻🇪 El personaje de la Sheriff (Beth Grant) es el puente que sirve para darle origen a la trama y que no quede a la imaginación del espectador sino más bien que tenga su contexto y podamos entender las razones por la cual esto personajes se ven envuelto en esta extraña y perturbadora situación. Me gusto lo sencillo del personaje y lo fácil que es caer en sintonía con su papel lo que no ocurre con el personaje de Liv (Emily Tosta) quien es la otra protagonista pero que desde mi punto de vita solo sirve como relleno ya que no aporta nada interesante y es más bien como ese estorbo que debes poner a un lado para evitar tropezar con ello.
Otro personaje que creo que no le dieron más tiempo en escena y que quizás hubiera sido una buena opción para crear escenas donde el diálogo hubiera tenido mayor protagonismo es el personaje de Tex (Ric Reitz) en dueño del lugar donde ocurre todo quien tampoco hace gran diferencia en la película, pero que es parte de la trama que origina todas las situaciones y quien pudo ser puente para más diálogo y hago énfasis en ello ya que solo un 25% de la película tiene escenas donde vemos conversaciones lo demás es prácticamente sangre y gritos y lo de los gritos es solo un momento.
¿LA RECOMIENDO?, podría decirse que sí, pero también creo que dependerá de tu gusto y la paciencia que tengas con películas fuera de lo tradicional y más si pones en la forma al señor Cage que a mi parecer tuvo un trabajo nada complicado y quizás el más extraño que yo haya visto hasta los momentos. Te invito a que le eches un vistazo y seas tú mismo quien se haga una idea de que tan buena o mala sea esta película.
Siempre he dicho que tenemos que probar de todo un poco para hacer crecer ese conocimiento y tener base y la moral para saber diferencia lo bueno de lo malo, pero también ese conocimiento en todo género posible y no quedarse encasillado en uno solo, las películas nos dan la oportunidad de conocer diferentes ángulos y colores que día a día nos hable más la mente y las ganas de seguir disfrutando del buen cine sin importar lo bueno o lo malo que pueda ser siempre tendremos la oportunidad de sacar algo bueno de ello.

Scenes are not scary at all and a bit repetitive to the point of becoming a bit heavy and heading in the same direction.
The dialogue between characters does not have much connection and only a couple of scenes give us interesting conversations but for a short period of time.
THE GOOD THINGS
A lot of blood and gore scenes that are a pleasure to watch if you love blood and screams.
Maintains a single direction making it a straightforward film with nothing in the way of fillers to make it change direction or try to surprise you, it delivers what we are promised at the beginning.

LO MALO
- Escenas nada aterradoras y un poco repetitivas hasta el punto de tornarse algo pesadas y hacia una misma dirección.
- El diálogo entre personajes no tiene mucha conexión y solo un par de escenas nos brindan conversaciones interesantes pero durante un corto periodo de tiempo.
LO BUENO
- Mucha sangre y escenas un poco gore que dan mucho placer ver si eres de esos que ama la sangre y los gritos.
- Mantiene una sola dirección haciéndola una película directa y sin nada de rellenos que haga que cambie de dirección o intente sorprenderte, cumple con lo que nos prometen al inicio.
